Aleksandar Milenković is a fifth-year medical student at the University of Belgrade, Faculty of Medicine. He graduated from his previous education at the Medical high school in Kosovska Mitrovica. After his bachelor's degree, his plans are to become a specialist of dermatology or plastic surgery. He has attended numerous seminars and congresses where various successful doctors from different fields of medicine participated. The last one was International Medical Students Conference Novi Sad 2021- IMSCNS 2021. He attended the 61st National Congress of students of biomedicine sciences of Serbia where he presented his first scientific research in histology in April 2022. Right now he is doing research in dermatology. For two years in a row, he has also been one of the six participants from Serbia in the European Forum Alpbach in Austria. He is a member of the student neuroscience section of the Serbian Neuroscience Society. Beside primary interests, he is committed to working with young people, health education, prevention, and environmental protection. He speaks English and knows the basics of German. He likes traveling, meeting new people, and gaining new experiences. He spends his spare time in nature, reads about personal development or watches series. |
Jovana Pešić is a second-year student at the Faculty of Sciences at the University of Priština temporarily relocated in Kosovska Mitrovica, majoring in Mathematics (average grade 10.00), and at the Faculty of Arts, majoring in Piano (average grade 9.94). She completed her elementary school and high school as the top student in her class. From early childhood, Jovana has shown exceptional talent in music. Some of the most relevant awards she has received include: First prize at the International Showcase of Piano Technique Černi Fest 2023, First place at the national festival Riznica talenata, First prize at the International Music Competition Muzički otisak 2023, nomination: chamber music, Third prize at the Republic Competition of music and ballet schools in Serbia, Two first prizes at the International Music Festival Muzičko proleće, Laureate of the third degree and two first places at the International Music Competition Kompas, First and third place at the international competition Brainfinity (Collaborative Problem Solving Challenge), Third place at the National Mathematics Competition Misliša, Third place at the Republic Literary Olympiad, and many other awards. Jovana actively participates in various festivals and concerts. She is a member of the vocal group Kamenički biseri, performing at various events. She has been involved in projects related to ecology, local environment change, served as a moderator in the field of gender equality, participated in the career club organized by USAID, and a six-month project, Tech Heroes 3, organized by jCoders Academy. Katarina Milic is from Zvecan. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and is currently a microbiology Master's Degree student in the Department of biology and ecology at the Faculty of Sciences at the University of Novi Sad. She finished her Bachelor studies in July 2023. at the Faculty of Sciences and Mathematics in Kosovska Mitrovica. She took part in many workshops about media literacy such as: " School of journalism" in organization by OEBS the Mission in Kosovo, as the participant of training programme for investigative journalism and also Ponder program for the media literacy in organization NVO "Domovik" from Severna Mitrovica, with support of UNICEF. Katarina finished training programme for the platform U-Report also managed by UNICEF. She wrote articles and news for the media platforms "Crno-beli svet", "Leader online", "New Perspektiva" and radio "Kontakt Plus." At the end of 2020. She received an award for being "The leader of the year" from the organization "Domovik." Katarina was a mentor for youth programmes UPSHIFT, PODIUM and PONDER. These three programmes were very important for improving many young lives through non-formal education and they were supported by UNICEF. For 2022/2023. She received a scholarship from the Foundation for Young Talents - Dositeja. She also received an award as " Outstanding student" from Student Parliament of the University of Prishtina. In the future she would like to work in microbiology and to some researches in the field. Ksenija Manojlović is a second-year student at the Faculty of Organizational Sciences in Belgrade, majoring in Management and Organization. She comes from the village Prelez in the municipality of Zubin Potok, where she completed primary and secondary school, and was awarded the Student of the Generation award both times. She won first place at the regional and third place at the republican competition for high school students in sociology, with her work on the topic "The influence of the media on the formation of different forms of group identities of young people''. She was the president of the Student Parliament in her fourth year of high school. During high school, she participated in numerous extracurricular projects, trainings and programs within the NGO "Domovik'' from Kosovska Mitrovica, and she showed her engagement and qualities by interning at the media portal "Crno-beli svet" and as a content creator at the youth media platform Leaderonline.net. She is the winner of the "You are a leader" award, which is awarded by the "Domovik'' organization for demonstrated activism. In October 2023, she received a certificate of appreciation and an award for the best student of the year from the Faculty of Organizational Sciences. Anđela Balaban is a third-year student at the Faculty of Organizational Sciences, majoring in Management. She completed her primary and secondary education in Belgrade, where she was born. During her schooling, Anđela demonstrated exceptional achievements and a strong commitment to learning and knowledge. She achieved high academic success, in primary and secondary school where she received Vuk’s Diploma, all the way to her state-funded university education. Anđela has always had a passion for music. In primary and secondary school, she was a member of the school choir and won awards at numerous competitions. She was also a member of the Bistrik vocal workshop. Milica Popović was born 10.04.2002. She is a student of the Philological University in Banja Luka, her program is the Russian and Serbian language and literature. She participated in many science seminars and conferences. In May last year she participated in the XIV international science conference «Славйански мир: Духовные традиции и словесность». She was a participant of the science seminar named «Открытые Балканы: вопросы исторической памяти в Републике Сербской и России» on the University Доброљубов, also a participant of the school of paleography of the Serbian community “Ћирилица" from Trebinje, and the first science linguistic seminar in Tršić. Gordana Jovanov is a fourth-year student at the Faculty of Education in Sombor, majoring in teaching. She finished Primary School "1. October" and the "Economic - Trade School" in Kikinda, and in both schools she is a proud winner of „Vuk Karadžić“ diploma. She also graduated from the primary music school "Slobodan Malbaški" in Kikinda, where she attended the piano department. At the Faculty of Education, she stands out for her exceptional academic success, which is why this year she had the opportunity to do a stimulating internship for the best students in 2022/23 in the city administration of Kikinda municipality, in the educational inspection. Gordana is a member of the choir of the Faculty of Education, with which she participated in various choir competitions, where they won great prizes. The student points out that her love for children led her to enroll in the Faculty of Education, and that this love spread through her studies. My name is Natalija Dabić, I am a first-year student at the Faculty of Teacher Education. I was born on September 10, 2004. I graduated from the science and mathematics department of the Gymnasium in Inđija, where I was born and where I still live today. I speak Russian perfectly and have been working in my town for two years in the Serbian-Russian Society of Inđija, where I teach my fellow Russians the Serbian language. During high school, I was a regular member of the Research Station Petnica in Valjevo, as well as NOKC Vuk Karadžić in Tršić. Some of my scientific works have been published in the collections of the Faculty of Philosophy in Belgrade, and I am finishing others. I chose my faculty and my future profession because I think that education needs visionaries who "know" how to deal with children and their needs, and there are such people, who are ready to “give themselves” to them. The only person I genuinely smile at during the day is a child. |
Darko Pavlović is a third-year student at the Faculty of Economics in Niš, specializing in Business Management. He served as the president of the Student Parliament in high school, and during his tenure, he, along with presidents from other high schools, founded the organization "PRLMNT," aiming to become a union of Niš high school parliaments. Since 2016, he has been a member of the "Josif Pančić" scout troop, where he holds the position of hill leader. In early 2021, he became a member of the "Jedi Movement" organization, where he currently serves as the coordinator of finance and fundraising campaigns. Darko worked as a project manager on projects organized by the Jedi Movement, such as "The Force Follows the Brave" - a camp for children without parental care, and the pop culture convention "Jedicon." He takes pride in the fundraising campaign "To Win a Child's Smile," where he raised 1,500,000 dinars to purchase a resuscitation table for premature babies. Also, in November and December, he led the campaign "From Knee to Knee," raising 3,640,000 dinars to buy 80 computer sets for the Electronic Faculty in Niš. In order to motivate young people to progress and understand the importance of youth activism, he has been a speaker at conferences such as "Youth as Drivers of Change," "Youth Know How to Do It," "The Role of Young Leaders in Society," and "5 Minutes for Generation Z." |
Dušan Đuric was born on 2 February 2001 in Užice, Serbia. After graduating from the Mathematical Grammar School in Užice, he continued his education at the Faculty of Law, University of Belgrade. He is currently in the first year of his Master's programme in Public Law and Environmental Law. During his studies, Dušan participated in numerous study groups, including the Environmental Law Clinic. During his studies, he was also the author of the award-winning Student Review for Commercial Law and one of the team members of the international arbitration competition "Vis Moot Court". His academic success has been rewarded with a number of awards, including a scholarship from the City of Užice, the Ministry of Education and, most notably, a scholarship for exceptionally gifted students. Dušan has also received several awards for being the best student at the Faculty of Law. In addition to his studies, Dušan is also a volunteer at an international law firm. Dušan's next plan is to study for a Master's degree in America, where he would like to deepen his knowledge in the field of environmental law. As his life and professional vocation, Dušan emphasises the importance of environmental protection, and in the future, through his further education and professional work, he would like to contribute to improving the position of the state of Serbia in terms of the state of the environment and its legal regulation. |
Jovana Todorović is a student at the Faculty of Teacher Education at the University of Belgrade, majoring in teacher education. She attended elementary school „Cana Marjanović“ in Ralja, where she won second place, twice, at the Republic handball competition. She won a Vukova diploma. The love for the teaching profession appeared already in the first period of schooling, because she had had a wonderful image of her teacher. She participated in numerous sections, as well as in competitions. She continued her education at the Belgrade Medical High school, majoring in nurse-educator. In high school, she had an extremely high average and gained a lot of experience in the internship organized by the school, and for a while she wanted to opt for the Faculty of Medicine. In addition to her education, she trained handball for 10 years, where she won over 40 medals from various tournaments and competitions, one of which was the national championship. Currently, she has been actively refereeing handball matches for 5 years, she also likes to travel, read books and gain various experiences. She chose the teaching profession because she believes that it is one of the most noble and important jobs, which requires great love, but also responsibility, which she is ready to show. |
David Sreckovic Is born on June 20th, 2003 in Kraljevo. He finished Elementary School "Mladost" Vrnjci as a student of the generation with an average grade point of 5.00. Jovana Jović is a fourth-year student at the Faculty of Organizational Sciences, majoring in Operations Management. In addition to achieving success at university, Jovana is a volunteer, leader and competitor. As a student at FOS, she competed in solving case studies on many projects where she won the first place, which secured her place at an internship at Ball Corporation Company, in the position of Junior Buyer in procurement. Until recently, she was the President of the non-governmental organization "World Youth Wave" and the Project Coordinator of one of the largest student festivals in Serbia, "International Student Week in Belgrade". Now she is in the Advisory team where she shares her knowledge and experience with a new generation of volunteers. She also founded the Youth Vibes portal, where she was the Editor-in-Chief and Project Coordinator. Kristina Nikolić is a third-year student at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Niš, majoring in Engineering Management. She finished elementary school as a valedictorian, and high school as the Best Activist. As one of the founders of the informal group - Autodidact Club, she created the first educational podcast for young people - Autodidact educational podcast in 2019. At that time Kristina completed 2 courses where high school students from Niš had the opportunity to learn about the importance of informal education and how to get involved in it. As a representative of the Media Research Center, she participated in a prestigious conference in Kyiv, organized by Internews Ukraine. During the Brave New Media Forum in 2018, she won the award for the best TV host, so in 2019 she got the opportunity to be the host of the Brave New Media Forum, organized by the Deutsche Welle Academy. Kristina was also one of the main speakers at the TedEd conference organized by the Niš American Corner and the final conference of the Young Balkan Leaders project at the Academy of Sciences in Sofia. In October 2022, she won 2nd place for the scientific paper "Green Transport" at the international conference "SIMTERM". Since 2017, she has been actively attending Erasmus+ youth exchanges and training courses. She speaks English and German fluently. Tara Stefanović is a first-year student in the Faculty of Mathematics at the University of Belgrade, majoring for a professor of Mathematics and Computer science. She went to primary school “Marko Oreskovic“, and after that socio-linguistic course at the Ninth Belgrade Gymnasium “Mihailo Petrovic Alas“ which was an excellent opportunity to gain general education and knowledge in humanistic science. Love toward mathematics and desire to become a professor, encouraged her to enroll in Mathematical faculty even after social studies at high school. Tara, aside from mathematics enjoys and has a great knowledge of Geography, from which she won numerous prizes. During her previous schooling, she was a participant in the drama and biology-geography section, sang in the choir, attended first aid training, was a participant in humanitarian actions, and participated in the "Reading Marathon". She was a participant in the "Log out violence" conference. She has been actively training in karate for 6 years in the karate club "Novi Beograd" with which she also goes to competitions, and before that, she trained in swimming. Tara enjoys skiing and camping. She was twice a participant in the "Call of Nature" sports and educational camp, and 3 times a volunteer at the same camp. She likes to travel, read books, and watch movies. In the future, as a professor, she wants to share knowledge in the field of mathematics with children in the most interesting way possible, as well as skills that can be useful later in life. |
Lena Bogdanović graduated as a student of the generation at the Faculty of Political Sciences of the University of Belgrade, module International Studies, and is currently studying master's at the University of Belgrade, module Business Performance Management. In November 2023, she was part of the scientific conference SPIN at the Faculty of Organizational Sciences. In addition to achieving exceptional academic success, Lena is an active volunteer and activist. She is part of the Advisory Board of the World Youth Wave and participated in the organization of the "International Student Week in Belgrade" (2022/2023) and the "Volunteer Fair" (2021/2022/2023). She was an activist in the "Ide glas" campaign, as well as a team coordinator in a campaign aimed at motivating citizens to take action in their local communities. She is a peer-to-peer educator on the topics of gender equality and gender-based violence. In addition, she is an activist in the "EU Influencers" project, which is supported by the European Union and aims to spread democratic values and fight against misinformation. As the best student in her field, she got the opportunity to do an internship in the General Secretariat of the Government of the Republic of Serbia, as well as in the City Municipality of Stari Grad. Her areas of interest are international relations, democracy, public policies, gender equality, marketing and media literacy. |
Hadzi Vasilije Mihajlović is a first-year student at the Faculty of Education for Teachers and Educators at the University of Belgrade, majoring in Teaching. Born in Zemun, he completed his primary and secondary education in Bela Crkva, where he currently resides. He graduated from Bela Crkva Gymnasium, one of the oldest high schools in Serbia. Since the age of seven, he has been a member of the non-governmental organization called "Škola plus Dositej Obradović," which has existed for over 20 years. Throughout his life, he has been involved in volunteer work, both through "Škola plus" and with the Autism Association of Južni Banat. With great empathy and leadership skills in the spirit of Orthodoxy, he organizes numerous humanitarian actions, pilgrimage journeys, youth camps, and more. He pays special attention to providing support and assistance to children with autism, helping them adapt and overcome obstacles in their education, thereby supporting the implementation of inclusive education programs. Through volunteering with "Škola plus Dositej Obradović," he strives to raise awareness about environmental preservation. He places a particular focus on preserving the Danube River through workshops and actions for cleaning its shores. He conducts painting and sculpting workshops with children from the fourth grade on the Danube in Stara Palanka. Vasilije is someone who likes to follow the examples set by admirable people around him, such as his teacher Jasmina, which influenced his decision to enroll in the Faculty of Education for Teachers. He is a successful athlete, engaging in fitness and aikido to promote a healthy lifestyle. |
Petra Blagojević was born on November 15, 2004. in Niš, she is a first-year student at the Faculty of Pedagogy in Vranje, University of Niš. She completed elementary school and high school of economics in her hometown of Niš. During high school, even after the loss of her mother, she achieved fantastically enviable success. She also participated in the national competition "Notable personalities on dinar banknotes" which was held at the Faculty of Economics in Niš by the NBS (National Bank of Serbia). She did not find herself in economics, so she decided to study at the Faculty of Education at the University of Niš. She enrolled in this faculty intending to be a successful teacher who will, first of all, educate her students to be good people, to change the world for the better, to pass on her knowledge, and ultimately lead them on the right path. She showed interest in this job as a child when she created a game with her sisters and friends and pretended to be a teacher, which eventually led to her enrollment at the Faculty of Education. She has always had motivation, loves children very much, is experienced in working with them, and saw herself as a teacher from an early age. After completing her four-year studies, she plans to enroll in Master's studies. |
Nemanja Jovanović is a first-year student of Master studies in Reproductive Biology at the Faculty of Science in Novi Sad - a joint programme. He completed his undergraduate studies in Biology at the Faculty of Science in Kragujevac, as the best student of his generation. At the Saint Sava Academy, held at the University of Kragujevac, he was awarded as the one of best students for 2023. At the Congress of Students of Biomedical Sciences with International Participation, Nemanja won the session "Molecular and human genetics" for the article: "THE INFLUENCE OF MICROPLASTICS ON THE SPECIES OF EISENIA FETIDA (SAVIGNY, 1826) IN LABORATORY CONDITIONS". This was followed by a golden award at the “Primatijada” in Ohrid, and a special award at the XIX Student Symposium on Strategic Management for works in the field of pedofauna. |
Darko Dumanović is a fourth-year student at the Faculty of Mathematics, University of Belgrade, majoring professor of mathematics and computer science. He is one of the best students in his major with a current average grade of 9.13. He graduated from primary and secondary school in his native place Trstenik, where he was the holder of the award „Vuk Karadžić“ in both, as well as a valedictorian in primary school. He actively engages in a lot of faculty activities, notably in the Organizational Committee of the Student Mentor Program, helping freshmen adapt to academic life. Also, it’s important to note his involvement in the Student Parliament's "Students to Students" project includes lecturing algebra courses to prepare freshmen for their first exams. Also, he's a committee member of the Serbian Association of Mathematicians for competitions for primary school students, in which he demonstrates social responsibility to progress elementary school students who have many interests in mathematics and informatics science. Also, he is a successful participant in Serbian TV and pub quizzes, where he proudly promotes the teaching profession, emphasizing his role as a teaching major student. Nevena Nedeljković was born on 24 July 2000 in Belgrade, Serbia. After she graduated from the Third Belgrade High School in a bilingual French class, she enrolled at the University of Belgrade Faculty of Law, where she is currently a student of Master studies in Intellectual Property Law. During her law studies, Nevena has been recognized for her participation in study groups and being an active member of the sector for trial proceedings simulation of the European Law Students' Association (ELSA), where she had the opportunity to take part in debates, courses and competitions in simulating criminal procedures. At the end of each study year, Nevena won prizes given to the best students from the Faculty of Law. During her studies, her team won third place at the National Moot Court competition in the field of protection from discrimination organized by the Commissioner for Protection of Equality. She was engaged as a trainee at the Government Department before the European Court of Human Rights at the State Attorney's Office in Serbia and at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. She is recognized as a youth leader, officially certified by the National Association of Youth Work Practitioners (NAPOR). In her free time, she is keen on hiking, playing national dance and volunteering. Nevena also fluently speaks English and French. |
Sofija Kovačević is a first-year student at the Faculty of Mathematics, University of Belgrade, as well as the Faculty of Physics, University of Belgrade. She was the president of the mentoring class at the Mathematical Grammar School, where she devoted herself to advanced areas and problems with mentors from mathematics, physics and programming. It was these mentorships that helped her decide to enroll at two faculties in Serbia. Sofija is also the holder of Vuk Stefanović Karadžić's diploma. During her high school education, she excelled in the fields of astronomy and astrophysics, where the most notable would be the 1st and 2nd prizes at the National Astronomy Competition in 2023 and 2022. She represented Serbia in 2022 at the International Olympiad in Astronomy and Astrophysics in Kutaisi, Georgia. Sofija has also been writing papers for two years at the three-week International Astronomy Youth Camp in Germany, under the mentorship of foreign students and professors. Thanks to all her mentors, Sofija expressed her desire to help the younger generations similarly, and now teaches preparatory classes for mathematical competitions at the Mathematical Grammar School. Sofija has also been a member of the Red Cross of Serbia since she was 16 years old, where she participated in countless activities, especially during the pandemic. In addition to all academic success, Sofija is characterised by a serious dedication to dance, especially tango, but also dedication to sports such as boxing and rugby. |
Pavle Vučković is a fourth-year student at the Faculty of Economics, University of Niš, majoring in International Management. He has been involved in youth activism since high school, having gone through several student organizations, numerous projects and competitions. As a member of AIESEC at the Department for business development and professional practice, he was involved in market research, organization and sales of projects. Recently he ended his mandate as Secretary General and member of the Executive Board of the European Youth Parliament of Serbia, of which he has been a member for more than 3 years. As part of the parliament, he participated in over 23 sessions in the country and abroad, for which he wrote several research papers, led various teams and dealt with academic and organizational affairs. He is a member of the Student Association NOVA at his faculty. He won first place at the entrepreneurship competition of the Naissus Businessmen's Club and first prize for a start-up idea at the KreNI conference. Until recently, he attended the AmChamps mentoring program of the American Chamber of Commerce in Serbia, where he listened to and worked with the most influential people from the business world of Serbia for a year together with his mentor, peers and other managers. In the semi-finals of the program he worked on a case study for KPMG, and in the finals a project assignment for A1. He also has two language certificates, C1 for German and C2 for English. |

Teodora Mašković Đeri is a third-year undergraduate student in psychology at the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Belgrade. She is a coordinator of the international relations team in the Association of Psychology Students "Stimulus". She is an intern in the Laboratory for Experimental Psychology and in the Laboratory for Developmental Psychology, currently engaging in three research projects. She represents psychology students of Serbia within the EFPSA and she represented Serbia at an event in Oslo. She volunteered at the "Science and Informatics for Every Child" exhibition at SANU. She had the opportunity to present her research in developmental psychology at the student follow-up meeting of the "Empirical Research in Psychology" conference. She was a participant in the international student conference "Repetition - transformation" held in Brussels by the European Psychoanalytic Federation. She attended a seminar on social and humanities at the Petnica Research Station and presented her scientific work in psychology at the "Step into Science" conference. Teodora Šiklošić is born on July 22, 2001. in Zrenjanin. She graduated from Zrenjanin Grammar School as a "Student of the generation" and is a fourth-year student of English and German language at the Faculty of Philosophy in Novi Sad. At the same time she completed an IT Management course at the IT Academy. She cooperated with the Indian Embassy and the "Tagore Center". She gained certificates in the field of media, translation, public speaking and digital marketing. She had the position of editorial assistant and member of the board for the long-term project "Kulturportal Banat", in cooperation with the German Embassy. She currently volunteers for "Zrenjaninski socijalni forum", "PAOR" and "Erasmus Student Network Novi Sad". She is also a member of "Kuhinja solidarnosti", the Student Union of Students of the Faculty of Philosophy and she actively participates in projects at the Faculty. As a member of the theater section "Punkt. Neuer Satz - Theatergruppe der Germanistik in Novi Sad" she participated in the exchange program of German studies students within the project held in Ludwigsburg. Within the section, she also performs the play "Generation Z(ombie)". She published her poems "Erinnerungen" and "Wo ich herkomme" in the collection written within the project "4G Dimensionen". At the "Hauptseminar Vojvodina" seminar, she defended the work "Danilo Kiš: Garten, Asche" and at the seminar "Donaustädte in Texten, Bildern und Filmen" the work "Aleksandar Tišma: Das Buch Blam". She participated in the international translation conference "Translating Europe Forum". She held the position of Communications Manager within the "Erasmus Student Network" Novi Sad. Boris Stanković is a second-year student at the Faculty of Mathematics in Belgrade majoring in statistics, actuarial and financial mathematics, where he completed the first year of studies with an average grade of 10.0. He describes himself as a mathematician, enthusiast, idealist and fighter for better education. Boris is the winner of silver and 2 bronze medals at the International Mathematical Olympiad, 4 silver and two bronze medals at the Balkan Mathematical Olympiad, silver and bronze medals at the International Olympiad of Metropolises, gold medal at the Serbian Mathematical Olympiad, as well as numerous other medals at international and domestic mathematics competitions. He is one of the 3 most successful mathematical Olympians in the history of Bosnia and Herzegovina. |
Katarina Klisura is a third-year student at the Faculty of Law, University of Novi Sad, majoring in law, security and internal affairs. She finished elementary school and high school in Čajniče, in the Republic of Srpska, where she won the title of student of the generation on both occasions. She was selected as a participant in the Summer School of History and Diplomacy, which took place in Trebinje in July 2022. She participated in many seminars and conferences, among which stand out: "Family violence - case law", "Violence on the Internet - legal and social aspect", 11th Conference on human trafficking and the rights of women victims of violence. She volunteers for the Erasmus student network in Novi Sad. In her free time, she is engaged in photography, and her photo-reportage was in the final of the photo competition "My Cultural Treasure" organized by the European Union in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Also, her photos were exhibited as a part of the Mental Health Festival. She is engaged in reviewing books, hiking and volleyball, which she has been training since she was 10 years old. She has completed a course for a volleyball referee. Katarina speaks English fluently and speaks Russian. |
Rastko Lazarevic comes from Republic of Srpska and he is a second-year student at Electrical enginering faculty of the Belgrade university majoring electrical enginering and computer science. Even during middle school he showed a great interest in physics and mathematics and became successful competitor. At Vuk Karadzic High School in Loznica, he graduated as a straight-A student and won the second prize at the state's mathematics competition.The highlight of his school days is versatility and now his attention is directed at professional fields. At the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Rastko is enrolled in the Signals and Systems program, but he is also interested in the areas of renewable energy sources and sustainable development. Additionally, Rastko is active and educates himself in other fields. He was a participant in this year's student business camp ParkUp organized by NTP Belgrade. Moreover, Rastko is involved in the work of the student team at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering (HBridges), where he works in the FR/PR team. He engages in swimming recreationally and actively participates in community initiatives. Furthermore, Rastko has a special interest in psychology and philosophy, which he studies in his free time. |

Jana Počuča is a fourth-year student of Molecular Biology and Physiology at the Faculty of Biology, University of Belgrade, previously graduating from the First Grammar School of Belgrade. Since the first year of high school, she has participated in a biology seminar at the Petnica Science Center. That gave her an opportunity to work on four independent research projects. Among them, the most prominent one is "Antifungal Activity of Neem (Azadirachta indica) Leaf Extract and Oil Against Wood Decay Fungi Heterobasidion annosum", which was presented at three international conferences and has won five prizes. Now, as a student, she is a teaching assistant at a biology course and the course of experimental biology and chemistry at Petnica Science Center. Apart from several projects and workshops she took part in at her faculty, last summer she was a part of the Amgen Scholars program at Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm. For two months she had been working on a project in the area of immunology in tuberculosis which she presented at the Amgen Students European Symposium at Cambridge and won the best poster award. This summer she attended Summer Undergraduate Research Program at Unil. Her project was related to bee gut microbiota. This autumn she has also won two awards for student research, one at CoMBoS, the international molecular biology congress, and the other one at Simplast, biology students congress. Areas of her professional interest are microbiology and molecular biotechnology. |
Maja Živanović is a Master’s student at the Faculty of Technology, University of Novi Sad, enrolled in the Pharmaceutical Engineering program. She completed elementary school as a student of her generation and in high school she was awarded Vuk Karadžić Stefanović’s diploma. Throughout her education, both elementary and high school, Maja participated in numerous regional and national competitions, but she is proudest of her role in the competition “European Diary” in 2016, where she won first place, earning an educational trip to Vienna with Serbian journalists as part of the “Media Visits the EU” project. She engaged in various extracurricular activities and projects such as “In the footsteps of our ancestors”, organised by the Svetosavsko zvonce. She actively contributed to different local events as a member of the school choir or folk ensemble. In the academic year 2018/2019, she attended the Petnica Science Center for a winter chemistry seminar. In the academic year 2022/2023, Maja participated in the "Farmaceutski Inkubator" competition, where she and her team created an innovative product for treating eye inflammations and won first place. Over the past year, she has been actively involved in graphic design. Maja has been playing piano since the age of 11 and completed Elementary school of music, "Teodor Toša Andrejević" in Ruma. Her plans involve dedicating herself to scientific work, merging her curiosity for research and creativity in graphic design. |
Vuk Arnautović is a third-year student at the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Belgrade, at the Department of Philosophy. He graduated from the Grammar school in Šabac, which he represented at the "SOFija21" Philosophy Olympiad, where he won an honorary medal. From extracurricular activities, he volunteered in the reading rooms of the Faculty of Philosophy during the COVID-19 pandemic. At one time, he wrote for the magazine "Student". He has several published articles in various magazines. |
Petar Mitić is a second-year student of basic academic law studies at the Faculty of Law of the University of Niš. He was born on July 11, 2003 in Nis. He graduated from the "Emperor Constantine" Primary School. In the "Bora Stanković" Gymnasium, he served as the president of the Student Parliament, and during his term, among other things, the system of student administrative bodies was reformed, the humanitarian action "Bora for fighters" was organized and the traditional "Bora's Days" were, after several years of pause due to the pandemic, held again. He was a member of the School Board in elementary school and gymnasium. He entered the Faculty of Law as one of the candidates who scored a maximum of 100 points on the entrance exam. At the university, he attended the Administrative Clinic and completed a student internship in the Office of the Mayor of Niš. Member of the organizing committees of many conferences, such as "The Role of Young Leaders in Society". Winner of the diploma "Vuk Karadžić" at the end of elementary school and gymnasium, two special diplomas for Serbian language and musical culture, awards of the City Municipality of Mediana for the best students of the city, Commendations and Memorials of the Gymnasium "Bora Stanković" for achieved results in the field of culture and Diplomas for exceptional contribution to the work of the Student Parliament. Nikolija Bojković is a third-year student at the School of Electrical Engineering, University of Belgrade, studying Signals and Systems. She has loved math since she was a child and was even the top student in elementary school. She attended the Mathematical Grammar School in Belgrade and graduated with honors. During the summer of 2022, Nikolija participated in the University of Cambridge Engineering Summer Programme, where she explored subjects like The Jet Engine, Nanotechnology, and Quantum Technologies. This experience sparked her interest in science and academia. In the following summer, she worked as an intern in the "Philippa Fawcett Internship" program at the University of Cambridge, focusing on Differential Privacy of Data under Professor Po-Ling Loh's guidance. Outside of her studies, Nikolija is active in forums and conferences, aiming to motivate young students and promote science. Her motto is: "Let your stories inspire others as others' stories inspire you." Currently, she's keen on mathematics and hopes to delve deeper into it during her master's studies. |
Lazar Marković is a student at the Faculty of Orthodox Theology University of Belgrade, majoring in Theological Catechetical course. He is from Knjaževac, where he finished primary and high school with excellent grades. He graduated from Technical school, the module for Technician for computer control of CNC machines. He was a member of the school parliament, thus participating in various humanitarian actions in Knjaževac, which were dedicated to collecting aid for children with special needs. During his high school education, he participated in the international Erasmus+ “The Da Vinci Code” project. Aside from that, he cooperated with his school during the visit of Tiddo Bresters, president of the international organization for old cars FIVA. During the visit of the members of FIVA from Romania he was engaged in interpreting the English language. From a young age, he showed love towards church and church life, and from the age of twelve, he actively participated in liturgical life and church service in his parish church in Knjaževac. After graduating from high school, he enrolled in the Faculty of Orthodox Theology at the University of Belgrade with the blessing from His Eminence Orthodox Bishop Ilarion of the diocese of Timočka. |
Aleksandar Jaćimović is a third-year student at the University of Novi Sad, Faculty of Philosophy, at the Department of English Studies. He left his elementary school with the Vuk Karadžić certificate and graduated from Karlovci Grammar School holding the Student of the Generation certificate. While in Karlovci Grammar School, he achieved notable results in the following national competitions: third place in the National-Level Competition in the Latin language in the special category, first place in the County-Level Competition in the English Language in the special category and third place in the National-Level Competition in the English language in the special category. Additionally, he topped the list at enrollment at his Faculty (100/100), and has notched up the highest GPA in the first two years of his academic studies. Aleksandar has thus far participated in various language summer schools, including the Licht und Klang Erasmus summer-school project in the German language in Timisoara, the summer school of the English language at South Bank University in London two summers running, and the Eastern Generative Grammar summer school of linguistics at the Faculty of Philosophy in Novi Sad, where he also served as a local organizer. Moreover, Aleksandar was part of the CEEPUS' Tenth International Summer School of Translation at the University of Maribor, representing his home university as one of the two students designated, and he took part in the Seventh International Interdisciplinary Conference of Young Scientists in Social Sciences and Humanities Konteksti in Novi Sad. Aleksandar is a member of Matica Srpska and a volunteer for the American Corner in Novi Sad and the Erasmus Student Network. |
Andrej Vukoje is born in Novi Sad, 03.12.2003. He is a second year student in Faculty of Tehnical Sciences. His bachelor is in IT. He graduated elementary school in Bileca, Regular and Musical highschool, one in Bileca, and the other in Trebinje. At the time, he is most invested in doing work in college and student organizations. He’s been taking part in “Kotor-Art” for more than a few years, by using his art skills! He is the republic and regional champion in karate, which he was doing since he was 5, and until he was 18. He plates three instruments (piano, guitar and accordion) and since he was six, actively takes part in all kinds of manifestations (school, schurch, humatiranian). |
