SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
The Studenica Foundation was established by American citizens of Serbian descent to find and assist young talents in the homeland. Inspired by the work of the first Serbian enlightener, Saint Sava, the founders of the Foundation believe that education is a factor of paramount importance for the progress of a nation. The Studenica Foundation awards scholarships to Serbian students at universities in the territory of the Republic of Serbia and the region.
SCHOLARSHIP FUND
Approximately 30 - 40 undergraduate students annually receive our scholarship. The competition is announced every year in September. The scholarship can be renewed for the remaining years of undergraduate studies as long as the student continues to meet the criteria for receiving tuition fees. Scholarships may also be awarded from time to time to postgraduate students.
The amount of the scholarship is RSD 150,000 per year. Scholarships are paid monthly.

Area of work
Since its establishment, the Studenica Foundation has been awarding scholarships to students at universities in Serbia, occasionally also to those in Montenegro, and since 2010, occasionally to Serbian students in Croatia, as well as Serbian students in Slovenia and the Republika Srpska.
The scholarship program for students and high school students from the Republika Srpska, which began in the mid-1990s and lasted for over two decades, concluded in 2017. This program was specifically designed to assist extremely vulnerable and war-impoverished families and children and young people from these families without parents or with only one parent.
Starting in 2020, we initiated a new cycle of scholarship competitions in Serbia and the region, which you can learn more about in our news. The competition for scholarships for Serbian students in the region is announced together with the competition for scholarships in the Republic of Serbia.
We are looking for partners with whom we will expand our program in Serbia, especially in Kosovo and Metohija, as well as our regional scholarship program.
