The fellows of Studenica Foundation are not only exceptional students, already recognized talents, award-winning researchers, but also socially engaged and responsible young people.
Scholars are the pillar of the Studenica Foundation and proof that education, dedication and consistency lead the world to success.

So far, over 2.000 scholarships have been awarded to the most successful students, over 300 of which were scholarships for PhD studies at the most prestigious universities in the United States, such as Harvard, Yale, Princeton etc. Every year, we try to reward as many Serbian students from Serbia and the region as possible.
We are supported by donors from all around the world. This year, over forty students were given the opportunity to join the team of successful and talented Serbs.

PRESENTING SCHOLARS
European Forum AlbachOur scholarship recipient and fifth-year medical student at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Belgrade, Aleksandar Milenković, participated in the European Forum Alpbach from August 18 to September 2 in Austria. During the Forum, Aleksandar had the opportunity to be a speaker on the panel titled "A Bold Vision for Innovative Healthcare and its Industry in Europe," where he expressed his views on innovations in medicine, accessibility of healthcare, and adapting to modern problems.
Speakers on the panel included the Minister of Health of Austria and professors from the Medical University in Vienna and Innsbruck. He brings back wonderful impressions and new acquaintances from the forum, and we wish Aleksandar much success in his career and professional development! |

Summer research internshipOur scholarship recipient, Nikolija Bojković, recently had the opportunity to do a summer research internship at the University of Cambridge, Department of Pure Mathematics and Mathematical Statistics, as part of the "Philippa Fawcett Internship" program. Nikolija was accepted into one of the three available positions, competing with students from all around the world! For a duration of eight weeks, she worked on the "Differential Synthetic Data" project under the mentorship of Professor Po-Ling Loh.
Nikolija brings back positive impressions from the internship and believes that the experience opened up new horizons for her in the world of research and mathematics. At the end of the program, she had the opportunity to present her work along with other interns at Cambridge. Nikolija's research journey continues in agreement with the professor, and we congratulate her and wish her to take opportunities for improvement and progress daily! |
Graduated biologist!Our scholarship recipient, Nemanja Jovanović, graduated from the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics at the University of Kragujevac as the best student in his generation, thereby earning the title of graduated biologist!
Throughout his undergraduate academic studies, he invested in his knowledge by participating in seminars and conferences. He plans to enroll in master's academic studies and to redirect his focus towards clinical embryology. Congratulations to Nemanja and we wish him a lot of luck in his career! |

Katarina Milic - Deserving StudentAt the Ceremonial Academy of Students' Day of the University of Pristina with temporary headquarters in Kosovska Mitrovica, our scholarship holder Katarina Milić was awarded the "Deserving Student" award!

Jovana Pesic - First prize!Our scholarship recipients continue the vision of the founder of the Foundation and achieve success in all fields!
At the International Competition "Musical Imprint", held on April 21 and 22, 2023 in the Castle of Culture Belimarković in Vrnjačka Banja, students of the Piano Duo of the Faculty of Arts of the University of Pristina, in the class of assistant professor Jelena Radoičić, in the Chamber Music category, won the first prize . Our scholar Jovana Pešić is part of a duo together with her colleague Nastasija Radovanović! Both students are in the first year of the Performing Arts study program, piano department, at the Faculty of Arts, University of Pristina, with temporary headquarters in Kosovska Mitrovica. Winner of the "Molecular and Human Genetics"Our scholar Nemanja Jovanović was awarded at the Congress of Biomedical Sciences Students, as the winner of the "Molecular and Human Genetics" session!
The congress was held from 24-28. April on Kopaonik, with international participation, where every year over 1000 students of medical sciences from the country and the region have the opportunity to present their scientific works. We congratulate Nemanja on his great success! |

International Competition “Davorin Jenko”At the beginning of December, Sara made us happy with the news that she won the first prize at the "Davorin Jenko" International Competition!
Sara Kotur is in her fourth year of basic academic studies at the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad, and has been playing the trombone since she was nine years old. At the competition she participated in, she was in the D category and won the first prize in the class of professor Branislav Aksin. Congratulations to Sara on her great success and may she continue to make her dreams come true! |

On June 28, 2022, our scholarship holder Petar Damnjanović graduated from the Faculty of Economics in Niš, majoring in International Management, with a grade of 10.
Since the beginning of his studies, Petar has volunteered with various organizations and projects, both in the country and abroad. Petar describes himself as a curious person with an adventurous spirit, who always strives for new challenges and experiences, as evidenced by his interesting course of study. Djordje is a student of the generation of the Faculty of AgricultureOur scholarship holder Djordje Bastajic is a fourth year student of bachelor studies at the Department of Phytomedicine, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Belgrade. From the very beginning of his studies, he has achieved significant academic achievements.

Our fellow Jelena Jevtić - Champions of KnowledgeJelena Jevtić is a student at the Faculty of Political Science, University of Belgrade, and she is already successful and accomplished in many fields.
In addition to being committed to her faculty responsibilities, she spends her free time devoting herself to various extracurricular activities, which have brought her many successes. She is a prominent member of the Belgrade International Model of the United Nations, and she has specialized in Russia and Germany, she has been awarded many times at recitation competitions, and is extremely talented in acting. Commendations for our students of the Faculty of Law On January 27, 2022, the Faculty of Law of the University of Belgrade marked the school's celebration - Savindan, and on that occasion, the traditional Saint Sava ceremony was held.

Success of scholarship holders abroadMiona Dinić is a first-year master's student in a two-subject program of English and Italian language and literature at the Faculty of Philosophy in Ljubljana, and she has already achieved numerous successes through formal education and many extracurricular activities. Her wish is, in addition to success in academic circles, to start a journalistic career and try her hand at literary criticism.
The Studenica Foundation is in contact with students throughout the year, values and wholeheartedly supports the work, growth and success of all scholarship holders. Third place in the national Moot Court competition "Condemn Discrimination" for Nevena's teamTogether with her colleagues, Nevena won 3rd place in the national Moot Court competition "Condemn Discrimination", organized by the Commissioner for the Protection of Equality and the Open Society Foundation.

Djordje attended XVI Symposium on Plant ProtectionDjordje's work and commitment was recognized by the Plant Protection Society of Serbia, so he received an invitation to participate in the XVI Symposium on Plant Protection.

Marija's third place in the literary competition "Ja, žena i hirurg "Our fellow Marija Stanković is a second-year student of integrated academic studies of medicine at the Medical Faculty, University of Niš. In addition to the faculty, she is actively involved in various extracurricular activities, through humanitarian and volunteer work.
Apart from medicine, she points out that she loves literature a lot, and through her participation in a writing contest, she combined these two sciences and won third place on the topic "Me, a woman and a surgeon". The competition was organized by InciSioN - Bosnia & Herzegovina, where students from Serbia, Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina participated. Read more about Marija here. |
Katarina’s Deep Roots of EducationKatarina is a biology student, but apart from her narrow interest in microbiology, she does not miss the opportunity to perfect her love for journalism by attending various workshops and courses. Katarina comes from Zvečan, and she is a third year student at the Department of Biology at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics in Prishtina, with a temporary seat in Kosovska Mitrovica. Other than the fact that she decided to improve her interests at this faculty, and study biological sciences, Katarina has a great love for the social sciences as well. Through success from Belgrade to far and away CambridgeOur (scholarship) fellow Djordje Ogrizović will spend his next academic year outside Serbia, at distant Cambridge, with the goal of acquiring knowledge and applying it in his home country.
In July 2021, Djordje graduated from the Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy at the University of Belgrade, majoring in Environmental Engineering. In addition to finishing his studies with the highest grades, he worked hard and participated in various competitions. He points out that his favorite ones were the international competition for innovations of students from Southeast Europe - the Danube Cup, where he and his team presented the Pycotox project (a quick test for the detection of tetanus and botulism in blood), and the "X Prize" competition, where he worked as a project mentor of students of the Educational System "Creative Pen" (srb. “Kreativno pero”).
