Chess queens - Girls tournament held on April 18th
Since 2016, when we began supporting the project for chess tournaments for girls began, our Foundation has been supporting and encouraging the interest of girls in chess, in order to influence their development in general. Scientific research has shown that chess increases the intellectual, moral and emotional capacities of children. Therefore, through this project, through a free system of learning and competition in which we provide the best participants with appropriate awards, we contribute to the intellectual, cognitive, moral and spiritual development of children and youth. This project also serves as our contribution to strengthening and promoting gender equality, because boys in Serbia play chess more than girls.
The " Chess Queens" competition, after two delays due to the epidemiological situation, was held on Sunday, the 18th of April. It was the final tournament of young female chess players, students of Belgrade primary schools, which was organized as part of the celebration of the International Women's day.

Apart from the sponsorship of the Studenica Foundation, the tournament was also helped by the host of the event, the Chess Club "Mala Rokada" from Mirijevo, in whose hall the chess players competed.
