International Competition “Davorin Jenko”At the beginning of December, Sara made us happy with the news that she won the first prize at the "Davorin Jenko" International Competition!
Sara Kotur is in her fourth year of basic academic studies at the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad, and has been playing the trombone since she was nine years old. At the competition she participated in, she was in the D category and won the first prize in the class of professor Branislav Aksin. On June 28, 2022, our scholarship holder Petar Damnjanović graduated from the Faculty of Economics in Niš, majoring in International Management, with a grade of 10.
Since the beginning of his studies, Petar has volunteered with various organizations and projects, both in the country and abroad. Petar describes himself as a curious person with an adventurous spirit, who always strives for new challenges and experiences, as evidenced by his interesting course of study. Djordje is a student of the generation of the Faculty of AgricultureOur scholarship holder Djordje Bastajic is a fourth year student of bachelor studies at the Department of Phytomedicine, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Belgrade. From the very beginning of his studies, he has achieved significant academic achievements.

In addition to being committed to her faculty responsibilities, she spends her free time devoting herself to various extracurricular activities, which have brought her many successes. She is a prominent member of the Belgrade International Model of the United Nations, and she has specialized in Russia and Germany, she has been awarded many times at recitation competitions, and is extremely talented in acting. Success of scholarship holders abroadMiona Dinić is a first-year master's student in a two-subject program of English and Italian language and literature at the Faculty of Philosophy in Ljubljana, and she has already achieved numerous successes through formal education and many extracurricular activities. Her wish is, in addition to success in academic circles, to start a journalistic career and try her hand at literary criticism.

Marija's third place in the literary competition "Ja, žena i hirurg "Our fellow Marija Stanković is a second-year student of integrated academic studies of medicine at the Medical Faculty, University of Niš. In addition to the faculty, she is actively involved in various extracurricular activities, through humanitarian and volunteer work.
Apart from medicine, she points out that she loves literature a lot, and through her participation in a writing contest, she combined these two sciences and won third place on the topic "Me, a woman and a surgeon". The competition was organized by InciSioN - Bosnia & Herzegovina, where students from Serbia, Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina participated. Read more about Marija here. |
Katarina’s Deep Roots of EducationKatarina is a biology student, but apart from her narrow interest in microbiology, she does not miss the opportunity to perfect her love for journalism by attending various workshops and courses. Katarina comes from Zvečan, and she is a third year student at the Department of Biology at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics in Prishtina, with a temporary seat in Kosovska Mitrovica. Other than the fact that she decided to improve her interests at this faculty, and study biological sciences, Katarina has a great love for the social sciences as well. She likes to spend her free time attending various courses, workshops and events related to journalism. More about Katarina read here. |
Through success from Belgrade to far and away CambridgeOur (scholarship) fellow Djordje Ogrizović will spend his next academic year outside Serbia, at distant Cambridge, with the goal of acquiring knowledge and applying it in his home country.
In July 2021, Djordje graduated from the Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy at the University of Belgrade, majoring in Environmental Engineering. In addition to finishing his studies with the highest grades, he worked hard and participated in various competitions. He points out that his favorite ones were the international competition for innovations of students from Southeast Europe - the Danube Cup, where he and his team presented the Pycotox project (a quick test for the detection of tetanus and botulism in blood), and the "X Prize" competition, where he worked as a project mentor of students of the Educational System "Creative Pen" (srb. “Kreativno pero”).
