Aleksandar Milenković is a fourth-year medical student at the University of Belgrade, Faculty of Medicine. He graduated his previous education at the Medical high school in Kosovska Mitrovica. After his bachelor's degree, his plans are to become a specialist in internal medicine and a subspecialist, cardiologist, or endocrinologist. He has attended numerous seminars and congresses where various successful doctors from different fields of medicine participated. The last one was International Medical Students Conference Novi Sad 2021- IMSCNS 2021. He attended the 61st National Congress of students of biomedicine sciences of Serbia where he presented his first scientific research in histology in April 2022. He is also one of the six participants from Serbia in the European Forum Alpbach in Austria. He is a member of student neuroscience section of the Serbian Neuroscience Society. Besides primary interests, he is committed to working with young people, health education, prevention, and environmental protection. He speaks English and knows the basics of German. Jovana Pešić is a first-year student at the Faculty of Science and Mathematics of the University of Priština with its modern headquarters in Kosovska Mitrovica, mathematics department, and is also enrolled in the first year at the Faculty of Arts, piano department. Katarina Milić comes from Zvečan and she is a fourth-year student of Biology at the Mathematical Faculty, University of Priština currently situated in Kosovska Mitrovica. So far she has attended different types of workshops in media literacy, such as The school of journalism in the OEBS organization, Missions in Kosovo. She is a member of a training program in investigative journalism and Ponder Program's media literacy in the ,,Domovik" NGO organization from North Mitrovica, with the support of UNICEF. She has finished the training for the platform U-Report which is managed by UNICEF. She has written articles and news for the ,,Crni i beli svet", "Leader online", "New perspective" and radio "Kontakt Plus". Held at the and of 2022 at the yearly conference of the organization ,,Domovik" she was declared the leader of the year. In 2022 Katarina was a mentor in youth programs UPSHIFT, PODIUM, and PONDER. These three programs aimed to advance young people's lives through informal education and were held with Unicef's support. Given that she is a biology student, she is planning to dedicate herself to microbiology because that will be her specialty. Therefore, after a bachelor's degree, she would like to apply for a Masters Degree in Microbiology and become a microbiologist. She believes that it is knowledge where power lies in and that even though the roots of education may be bitter, the fruits are definitely sweet. |
Ksenija Manojlović is a first-year student at the Faculty of Organizational Sciences in Belgrade, majoring in Management and Organization. She comes from Zubin Potok, where she completed primary and secondary school, and was awarded the title of "The best student of the generation" both times. She won first place at the regional and third place at the republican competition for high school students in sociology with her work on the topic "The influence of the media on the formation of different forms of group identities of young people". She was the president of the Student Parliament in her fourth year of high school, with which a couple of humanitarian actions were successfully carried out. During high school, she participated in numerous extracurricular projects, training, and programs with the NGO "Domovik" from Kosovska Mitrovica. With her commitment and qualities, she earned paid internships - the first time on the media portal "Crno-beli svet", and the second time as a content creator on the youth media platform Leaderonline.net. She is a member of the youth group "United Youth - UM for children" of the "Domovik" organization. She is the winner of the "You are a leader" award given by the "Domovik" organization for demonstrating activism. She likes to draw, read and write in her free time. Nikola Ilić from Gračanica is a fourth-year student of undergraduate studies in Computer Science at the Faculty of Science and Mathematics of the University of Priština with a temporary base in Kosovska Mitrovica. He is a member of the Student Parliament and the Teaching-Scientific Council of the Faculty of Science and Mathematics. As a very versatile person, he has so far attended various courses and workshops such as: Ponder media literacy program organized by the NGO "Domovik" from Kosovska Mitrovica, with the support of UNICEF. He successfully attended the "Public Speaking and Rhetoric" training at the Center for Public Speaking. He actively participated in the international program "MasterClasses - Hands-on Particle Physics" under the auspices of CERN and the IPPOG (International Particle Physics Outreach Group) where, with his team, he achieved notable results. During his schooling, he completed the "IT Essentials" course as part of the "Cisco Networking Academy", as well as the web design course. He plans to continue his further education in the field of cyber security. Recreationally, he plays football, and his great passion is local history. |
Novak Ristović is a student of the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Priština with a temporary base in Kosovska Mitrovica at the department of general medicine, with an average of 9.86. He graduated from the Medical High School Priština in Gračanica with an average of 5.00, and participated in numerous competitions. He graduated from the "King Milutin" elementary school in Gračanica with excellent results. He is the author and co-author of 11 scientific papers presented at student congresses, two papers declared the best scientific papers (StES 2020 and StES 2022). He is the Vice President of the Center for Scientific Research and Student Development of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Priština and the Local coordinator for medical education IFMSA-Serbia, where he participates in organizing and leading numerous courses and projects. As an associate practitioner, he actively participates in the realization of exercises at the Institute of Pathological Physiology of the Faculty of Medicine. He is also a member of the "Together for the Young Dr. Danica Grujičić" Foundation, where he volunteered in the organization of the "Together for the Young" summit in Zlatibor, in October 2022. He is an active Red Cross volunteer and voluntary blood donor, a participant in numerous humanitarian actions, and an active volunteer during the COVID-19 virus pandemic. He is an amateur in acting and poetry writing. |
Tamara Radivojevic is from Zvečan and is a Master’s student at the Department of Classroom Teaching at the Faculty of Pedagogy in Leposavić, University of Priština with a temporary base in Kosovska Mitrovica. She finished her undergraduate studies with a high average and was the first in her generation to graduate from the Faculty of Teacher Education in Leposavić as a Graduated Classroom Teacher. The Faculty of Teacher Education in Priština with a temporary base in Kosovska Mitrovica awarded Tamara the "Deserving Student" award on Students' Day on April 20, 2022. for exceptional results, successes, and contributions during studies. She is one of the representatives of the Student Parliament of the University of Kosovska Mitrovica. In April last year, she also participated in the Humanitarian Bazaar for Doroteja, a girl from Kosovo and Metohija, for whose treatment they collected money together with other students. Together with her colleagues, she won prizes at Teachers' Day for various sports games. At the end of October 2022 in Zlatibor, she was a participant in the "Open World" International Youth Summit. Her goal is to enroll in Ph.D. studies after completing her Master's studies and get a job in her academic field. Tamara points out that education is the golden key to freedom! Aleksa Mitrovski is a third year student majoring in Informational Technologies in Mechanical Engineering at the Mechanical Faculty in Belgrade. As the best student in his class, he held numerous group preparations for various subjects and was one of the founders of a student IT association called "System”. Previously, he was enrolled in the Aviation Academy in Belgrade, where due to his exceptional grades he had the opportunity to spend two weeks in France, Cerny through ERASMUS+ at Alexander Denis, where he acquired valuable work experience and a certificate that allows him to work on aircraft. During his time in high school and university, he participated in political life: he was elected president of his class, implementing recycling measures such as “Čep za hendikep” during his term. This year, he received a scholarship for becoming a commercial pilot in Prince Aviation. Moreover, he enjoys volunteering for “Mladi istraživači Srbije” and sports: he has numerous medals from different sports, such as hockey, swimming, sport-shooting, and taekwondo, in which he holds a black belt. Darko Pavlović is a second-year student at the Faculty of Economics in Niš, majoring in business management. Darko finished Law and Business High School in Niš, where he first became interested in youth activism. He was the president of the School Parliament and during his mandate, together with the presidents of other high schools, he founded the organization "PRLMNT" which aims to become a union of Niš high school parliaments. Since 2016, he has been an active member of the "Josif Pančić" scout movement, where he currently holds the position of vice president. At the beginning of 2021, he became a member of the organization "Jedi Movement", where he currently holds the position of coordinator of finance and fundraising campaigns. Darko was the project manager of a couple of projects organized by the Jedi Movement, such as: "The Force Follows the Brave" - a camp for children without parental care, a gaming tournament within the popular culture convention "Jedicon", a humanitarian tournament in football, basketball and table tennis. He is most proud of the fundraiser campaign "To win a child's smile", where he managed to collect 1,500,000 dinars for the purchase of a resuscitation table for a premature baby. Also, Darko is one of the creators of the organization "5 minutes for you", which was founded to provide support and space for young high school students and students for personal development. In order to motivate young people to progress and understand the importance of youth activism and informal education, he was a speaker at the conferences "Youth as initiators of change", "The role of young leaders in society" and "5 minutes for Generation Z". |
Dušan Đurić was born on 2 February 2001 in Užice, Serbia. After graduating from Mathematical Grammar School in Užice, he enrolled at the University of Belgrade Faculty of Law in 2019. He is currently in his 4th and final year of studies in the Business Law department. During his studies, alongside taking part in multiple advanced Mentorship groups, Dušan was a participant in Legal Clinic for Environmental Law. During his studies, he was a writer for the Student Economic Law Review. Currently, in addition to being a member of the Vis Moot Court, Dušan is also an intern at the major International Law office in Belgrade. His academic success was awarded on multiple occasions, including a scholarship provided by the Ministry of Education, the city of Užice, and most notably the Scholarship for Exceptionally Gifted Students. Furthermore, Dušan was a laureate of several annual awards for the best students of the Faculty. As his life and professional call, Dušan emphasizes the fight for protection of the environment, and in the future, he aims to contribute to the improvement of the environment in Serbia through his further education and professional work hoping to change its legal regulations, therefore, solving the problems we have today. |
Djordje Bastajic is a student of master academic studies at the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Belgrade, majoring in Phytomedicine. He achieved exceptional academic success and was repeatedly declared the best student of both, his major and the entire faculty. Also, he was declared as the student of the generation of the Faculty of Agriculture. He won several medals for his faculty in rowing competitions. |
Jelena Čolović is a master’s student at the Faculty of Political Sciences in Belgrade in Communication Studies. She graduated in Journalism. She was the best student in her major. In high school, she started writing for portals that deal with culture, education, science, and art. She collaborates with the Mingle website which was founded by the Belgrade Open School. She was a journalist for the student podcast "Listening Room 6". She volunteered at the online edition of Danas. She collaborated with the Ana and Vlade Divac Foundation on the project "Academic Village". She was part of the organizing team at the youth seminar "Build yourself" (Kombank Hall, 2019). She is a member of the student organization European Student Forum. She graduated from elementary school as the best student in her graduating class and from high school as the best student in her Economics class. She worked as a teaching associate at the Faculty of Political Sciences on the subject of Media Ethics for two years. She received an award at the contest "Youth Speak, Youth Listen" for the best activist story. |
Jovan Mitić is a graduate physicist from the Faculty of Physics in Belgrade. Since childhood, he has been characterized by a tendency to understand nature and the society that surrounds him, but also towards art. During his education, he won over 40 awards at competitions in various disciplines, which earned him the title of student of the generation both in elementary school and high school. His high school period is characterized by involvement in the Regional Center for Talents Belgrade 2, where he became the author of several scientific research papers with which he won several medals at various world competitions and Olympiads, but also participated in organizing similar events as well as mentoring and preparing younger colleagues. His most outstanding achievements are the gold medal at the International Conference of Young Scientists in Turkey in 2015 with work on the application of physical chemistry to environmental protection, then the gold medal at the same competition in 2016 in Romania with work on biochemistry and medicine, as well as the bronze medal at the International Geography Olympiad 2014 in Poland. Jovan enrolled in Theoretical and Experimental Physics at the Faculty of Physics in Belgrade, where he soon became a student vice-dean and implemented significant reforms regarding the quality of studies at his faculty, but also continued his training by working on various projects. In his free time, Jovan writes poetry, and deals with music and music production. |
Jovana Jović is a third-year student at the Faculty of Organizational Sciences, majoring in Operations Management. In addition to achieving success at university, Jovana is a volunteer, leader, and competitor. She is the president of the non-governmental organization "World Youth Wave" and the project coordinator of one of the largest student festivals in Serbia, "International Student Week in Belgrade", as well as the local project "Volunteering Fair". Before becoming president, she was in the position of fundraising leader, and during that year she was also involved in project management for the youth portal Youth Vibes, of which she is the founder. As a student at FON, she competed in solving case studies on many projects where she won first and second place and the place for the best presenter in the competition. One of the awards was an internship at NIS company, where she held the position of project management practitioner in the Business Development sector. She likes when her day is full, she is a fan of theater and good company. |
Kristina Nikolić is a second-year student at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Niš, majoring in Engineering Management. She finished elementary school as a Student of the Generation, and high school as the Best Activist. As one of the founders of the informal group - Autodidact Club, she created the first educational podcast for young people - Autodidact educational podcast in 2019 and realized 2 courses where high school students from Niš had the opportunity to learn about the importance of informal education and how to get involved in it. As a representative of the Media Research Center, she participated in a prestigious conference in Kyiv, organized by Internews Ukraine. During the Brave New Media Forum in 2018, she won the award for the best TV host, so in 2019 she got the opportunity to be the host of the Brave New Media Forum, organized by the Deutsche Welle Academy. Also, she was one of the main speakers at the TedEd conference organized by the Niš American Corner and the final conference of the Young Balkan Leaders project at the Academy of Sciences in Sofia. In October 2022, she won 2nd place for the scientific paper "Green Transport" at the international conference "SIMTERM", in the category of presenting student works. Since 2017, she has been actively attending Erasmus+ youth exchanges and training courses. She speaks English and German fluently. In the last year, she has held roles in education with relation to communication and public speaking. |
Lazar Petrović is a master's student in the field of tax law at the Faculty of Law at the University of Belgrade. In addition, he is also a master's student in the field of Constitutional Law at the Faculty of Law in the University of Niš. In the course of his career, he trained professionally through formal and informal education in the Netherlands, Austria, Switzerland, Lithuania, and other European and regional countries. For his achievements during his studies, he was awarded a large number of foreign and domestic scholarships. He specializes both in the field of tax, corporate, and contract law, as well as in the field of human rights protection and the field of proceedings before the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Serbia and the European Court of Human Rights. He is the winner of various competitions in the field of legal and social sciences. He built his professional and work experience through work and practice within the scientific, corporate, civil, and entrepreneurial communities. As a teaching assistant, he worked for two years at the Faculty of Law in the University of Niš, studying Constitutional Law, and currently works as an intern at Milošević Law Firm, and also serves as the president of the Student Association "MAAT". He speaks English fluently, and also knows German. |
Lena Bogdanović is a student at the Faculty of Political Sciences at the University of Belgrade, module International studies. In addition to achieving exceptional academic success, Lena is an active volunteer and activist. She is the team leader of the Public Relations Team in the World Youth Wave and participated in the organization of the "International Student Week in Belgrade" (2022) and the "Volunteering Fair" (2021/2022). She was an activist in the "Ide glas" campaign, and she is currently a team coordinator in a campaign that aims to motivate citizens to take local actions in their communities. She is an educator on the topics of gender equality and gender-based violence. In addition, she is an activist at the "EU Influencers" project, which is supported by the European Union and partner organizations, and aims to spread democratic values, and fight against misinformation. She was part of the "Wikimedia Unlock Accelerator" program, during which she had the opportunity to develop her project. As the best student in her field, she got the opportunity to do an internship in the General Secretariat of the Government of the Republic of Serbia, as well as in the City Municipality of Stari Grad. Her areas of interest are international relations, democracy, public policies, gender equality, marketing, and media literacy. |
Mia Brzaković is a student at both Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Belgrade and Biomedical Engineering at Trinity College Dublin, currently at the exchange at the University of North Carolina, She successfully finished three years at both Universities, with many awards such as Trinity Honours Awards, Trinity Employability award and was International Student of the Year Award and Student Engineer of the Year. Mia received the "Vukova diploma" both in primary and high school for a perfect 5.00 overall grade. She was an award winner in several competitions in the Serbian language and literature, Mathematics, and Physics. Since high school, she was involved in extracurricular activities and was active in the European Youth Parliament and BIMUN, chairing, organizing, and presiding sessions all around Europe. At Trinity College Dublin, she is part of many societies, one of which is the Society for International Affairs where she organized the annual Ambassador ball and presided over regular MUN sessions in her college. Also, she is a member of the Trinity Entrepreneurial Society and is running her own start-up focusing on sustainable, carbon-negative, and environmentally friendly materials. She was an Engineering School convener at Trinity College Dublin. Additionally, she is a representative for International Relations at the Association of Mechanical Engineering Students at the University of Belgrade, actively communicating with international consulates and embassies in Serbia, and creating new opportunities for students from Serbia to study abroad. She did many internships around the world, only a few of which were in Brussels, Hamburg, Chapel Hill, and Dublin. |
Milica Damnjanović is a master's student in psychology at the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Belgrade. She is a member of the Laboratory for Experimental Psychology, where she studies how people think and make decisions. With her scientific research, she has participated in various scientific conferences in the region, and she is also a research associate on various psychological projects that are being carried out in Serbia. She is a former long-term participant and a current associate at the psychology seminar at the Petnica Science Center, where she participates in the realization of the program and mentors younger participants. She applied her mentoring experience by coordinating student research groups in the first year of her faculty, and is also a mentor to second-year students during their research related to individual differences and psychometrics. She is a big stan of open science, which is why she works on creating, updating and promoting an online platform for open usage of psychological instruments. Next year, she plans to enroll in PhD studies in psychology, where she will continue to study human reasoning. |
Nemanja Jovanovic is a senior-year student at the Faculty of Science, University of Kragujevac, at the Department Of Biology. During his studies, he achieved great success - in 2021 and 2022 he was declared one of the best students in his Faculty. In May 2021, his paper about brain structure and its function won third place at the "In The Footsteps of Our Scientists" festival, organized by the Serbian Biological Society Stevan Jakovljević, from Kragujevac, where Nemanja is an active member today. |
Nevena Mušatović finished primary and secondary school in Zaječar, and today she is a final year-student at the Faculty of Philology in Belgrade. As a child, she attended acting classes and was the author and presenter of her own show on local television - "Nevenin kutak", in which she researched and covered topics of interest to young people, related to culture and art. She points out that she has always loved working with young people, and in addition to formal education, she also considers informal education very important, which is why she attended numerous seminars and education. For two years, she was the coordinator of the Youth are the Law projects organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, and she spent the summer of 2019 in Madrid on a cultural exchange, which helped her to better understand young people outside her country. The following year, she became Serbia's youth delegate to the United Nations for 2020/21, which she considers her greatest success in social engagement so far. During the previous academic year, she taught Spanish at the Faculty of Philosophy in Belgrade, worked at the Embassy of Mexico, participated in international cooperation between her faculty and the University of France, and was a scholar of the Ayn Rand University from California. She loves Spanish culture and literature - she has won republican prizes in the Spanish language twice, moreover, she plans to continue her further education in the direction of diplomacy. |
Nevena Nedeljković is a student at the Faculty of Law at the University of Belgrade in the Department of International Law. During her law studies, Nevena has been recognized for her participation in study groups and being an active member of the Sector for Simulation of Trial Proceedings of the European Law Students' Association (ELSA) where she had the opportunity to take part in debates, courses, and competitions in simulating criminal procedures. At the end of each study year, Nevena won praise given to the best students from the Faculty of Law. Last year her team won third place at the National Moot Court competition in the field of protection from discrimination organized by the Commissioner for Protection of Equality. Presently, she is engaged as a trainee in the government before the European Court of Human Rights at the State Attorney's Office in Serbia. This year, Nevena will be a member of a team established to present the Faculty of Law at the prestigious Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot to be held in Vienna. She is a recognized youth leader officially certified by the National Association of Youth Work Practitioners (NAPOR). In her free time, she is keen on hiking, national dance, and volunteering. Nevena also speaks English and French. |
Nikolija Bojkovic is a second-year student at the University of Belgrade, Faculty of Electrical Engineering, module Signals and Systems. Since her youth she has cherished math. As the best student in her primary school, she enrolled in the Mathematical Grammar School. She graduated there with a “Vuk Karadzic” diploma. This summer she was accepted to the University of Cambridge’s Engineering Summer Programme. The program consisted of three modules: Jet Engine, Nanotechnology, and Quantum technologies. It opened up new horizons for her and made her even more interested in working in science and academia. Following lectures and working with professors who are some of the greatest experts in the world in these fields inspired and motivated her. For the work completed during the program she received the highest grade: First Class. Currently, she wants to dedicate herself to the fields of mathematics and programming. Also, during her education, she demonstrated a talent for writing. She was distinguished by awards at various literary contests, her favorite: third prize at the literary contest Science is Everywhere as part of the European Night of Researchers event. In addition to acquiring knowledge, she enjoys spending time with friends and family and doing sports. |
Pavle Vučković is a third-year student at the Faculty of Economics, University of Niš, majoring in International Management. He has been involved in youth activism since high school and has gone through several projects and student organizations. He was a member of AIESEC at the Department for Business Development and Internships, where he was doing market research, project sales, and organizing job fairs. He is currently Secretary General and a member of the Board of the European Youth Parliament of Serbia, of which he has been a member for more than 2 years. As part of the Parliament, he participated in more than 17 sessions in the country and abroad, where he wrote several research papers, led various teams, and was involved in academic and organizational affairs. He is also a member of the Student Association NOVA at his faculty. He won first place at the entrepreneurship competition of the Naissus Commerce Club and first prize for a start-up idea at the KreNI Conference. He is currently in the AmChamps mentoring program of the American Chamber of Commerce in Serbia, where he studies and collaborates with peers and managers from the most influential companies in Serbia. He regularly attends lectures, seminars, and conferences where he further improves himself. He has two language certificates, C1 for German and C2 for English. |
Petar Damnjanović is a master's student at the Faculty of Economics in Belgrade and a master's student at the School of Computing in Belgrade. He completed his undergraduate studies at the Faculty of Economics in Niš majoring in International Management with outstanding success. Petar gained interest in the field of finance after successfully finishing a feasibility study at competition CFA Research Challenge. At the beginning of his studies, he volunteered in a student organization at the Faculty of Economics and he had the opportunity to organize conferences „YouthSpeak Forum” and „New Leaders“, after that, he performed a talent management coordinator function. Right after volunteering, he started an internship in the Human Resource Department of the German company Metro Cash & Carry. During his studies, he participated in international projects in Estonia on the topic „Active Youth“, in Spain on the topic „Youth Entrepreneurship“ and in Italy on the topic “Online Success”. He spent one semester in Germany at Otto-Friedrich University in Bamberg. He competed in solving case studies, and together with his team he found the best enterprise solutions six times. He successfully finished the SUFIN module „Sustainable finance and insurance“ with the final paper on the topic „Weather Derivatives“. Teodora Mašković Đeri is a second-year undergraduate student of Psychology at the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Belgrade. She is a member of the Association of Psychology Students "Stimulus", where she is currently a member of the international relations team. Last year, she had the opportunity to present her research in developmental psychology at the student follow-up meeting of the "Empirical Research in Psychology" conference. She is an intern at the Laboratory for Experimental Psychology within the research group for psycholinguistics at her faculty. She attended a social and humanities seminar at the Petnica Research Station and presented her first scientific paper in psychology at the "Step into Science" conference. She is the Vice representative of the members of Serbia within the EFPSA organization. She is a member of the European Youth Parliament, where she participated in sessions as a delegate, peer educator, and journalist. This year, she had the opportunity to be a participant in the international student conference "Repetition - transformation" held in Brussels by the European Psychoanalytic Association. She practiced classical ballet for ten years and graduated from Belgrade's lower ballet school "Lujo Davičo". In addition to volunteering, her interests include dancing, photography, writing, and art history. |

She graduated from Zrenjanin Grammar School as a "Student of the generation" and is a third-year student of English and German language at the Faculty of Philosophy in Novi Sad. She completed an IT Management course at the IT Academy. She speaks English, German, French, and Russian. She has certificates from completed courses in the field of media and digital marketing, and public speaking, and has won numerous national and international awards and certificates. She participated in the international culture and art project "Euriade" in the Netherlands and wrote articles for the Dutch magazine of the same name as part of the project. She is a collaborator of the "Tagore Center", a project of India and the Indian Embassy in Serbia. She volunteers in general and helps the "Nurdor" charitable organization. She is a member of the Singing Society „Prepodobni Rafalio Banatski iz Zrenjanina“. She volunteers for "Zrenjanin Social Forum", "PAOR", "Erasmus Student Network Novi Sad" and "Student Union of the Faculty of Economics in Belgrade". She is also a member of the Student Union of the Faculty of Philosophy. As a member of the theater section "Punkt. Neuer Satz - Theatergruppe der Germanistik in Novi Sad" participated in the project in Ludwigsburg and performed the play "Generation Z(ombie)" with the section. She published her poems "Erinnerungen" and "Wo ich herkomme" in the collection within the project "4G Dimensionen". At the "Hauptseminar Vojvodina" seminar, she defended the work "Danilo Kiš: Garten, Asche". She participated in the international translation conference "Translating Europe Forum". In the "Erasmus Student Network" she has the position of Communication Manager and some of the most significant projects with Erasmus were "Empower the Erasmus Generation" and „Šta nam teško“ project: „Student biti nije lako, ali ESN zna kako!“. |
Born in 2001 in Novi Pazar, Tijana Glišović is a fourth-year undergraduate student at the Faculty of Law at the University of Belgrade. She is the winner of the faculty Svetosavska Commendation Award for outstanding success in the 2019/2020 and 2021/2022 school years. In her hometown, she finished high school with exceptional success and great ambition. She represented her city at many creative festivals - in the period from 2016 to 2018, she participated in the annual City Oratory Competition in Novi Pazar, for which she also received a certificate of appreciation for her skills. In 2018 she participated in various environmental actions of cleaning the city and its surroundings, and she held a lecture about forest deforestation prevention at the University of Novi Pazar. Tijana is an active promoter of humane values, tolerance, and multiculturalism. On the topic "Tolerance - that's you", she recorded advertising content for RTV Novi Pazar. Tijana Glišović is one of the organizers and guides of the program dedicated to collecting money for the Association of the Blind and Visually Impaired in Novi Pazar. It is part of the European Law Students' Association (ELSA) within the Student Trainee Exchange program for students. In order to improve her skills, she attended numerous internships both in the legal profession and in the judiciary. At the National Trial Simulation Competition organized by the Commissioner for the Protection of Equality on the topic "Condemn Discrimination", Tijana and her team "Hypatija" won second place. In the same competition, Tijana was recognized as the best speaker in the competition. |
Boris Stankovic is a first-year student at the Faculty of Mathematics in Belgrade majoring in statistics, actuarial and financial mathematics. He describes himself as a mathematician, enthusiast, idealist, and fighter for better education. He is the winner of silver and 2 bronze medals at the International Mathematical Olympiad, 4 silver and two bronze medals at the Balkan Mathematical Olympiad, one silver and one bronze medal at the International Olympiad of Metropolises, a gold medal at the Serbian Mathematical Olympiad, as well as numerous other medals at international and domestic mathematics competitions. He is one of the 3 most successful mathematical Olympians in the history of Bosnia and Herzegovina. He was the main organizer of the Maths Beyond Limits Balkan camp - the first international science camp in the Balkans for high school students. He was a lecturer and a member of the international organizing committee at the Maths Beyond Limits camp in Poland in September 2022. He was a member of the international organizing committee of the European Mathematical Cup, mathematical coordinator, and long-time lecturer at the Mathematics Club of The Second Grammar School Sarajevo. He was also a lecturer at international and domestic mathematics camps and summer and winter schools organized by The Society of Mathematicians of Serbia. He is involved in numerous projects aimed at improving the education system, especially creating opportunities for the most talented students. |
Katarina Klisura is a second-year student at the Faculty of Law, University of Novi Sad, majoring in law, security and internal affairs. She finished elementary school and high school in Čajniče, in the Republic of Srpska, where she won the title of student of the generation on both occasions. She was selected as a participant in the Summer School of History and Diplomacy, which took place in Trebinje in July 2022. She participated in many seminars and conferences, among which stand out: "Family violence - case law", "Violence on the Internet - legal and social aspect", YouthSpeak Forum Serbia. She volunteers for the Erasmus student network in Novi Sad. In her free time, she is engaged in photography, and her photo-reportage was in the final of the photo competition "My Cultural Treasure" organized by the European Union in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Also, her photos were exhibited as a part of the Mental Health Festival. She is engaged in reviewing books, hiking and volleyball, which she has been training since she was 10 years old. She has completed a course for a volleyball referee. Katarina speaks English fluently and speaks Russian. |
Milica Polić is a fourth-year English language and literature student currently engaged in teaching English as a foreign language. Her student life is enriched with five years of experience in youth activism and student organising – three years in a row she was elected a Faculty of Philology's student representative on all University and Republika Srpska's instances, and a current Student Parliament's Secretary General. Along with it, her contribution to the improvement of the teaching process is seen through membership in the Higher Education Reform Expert Team and Erasmus Student Network. Through her engagement in student organising, she has acquired many socially-oriented competencies, along with professional progress. |
Rastko Lazarevic comes from the Republic of Srpska and he is a freshman at the School of the Electrical Engineering University of Belgrade majoring in electrical engineering and computer science. Even in the middle school he showed great interest in physics and mathematics and became a successful competitor. He finished school Vuk Karadžić in Loznica as a straight-A student and winner of the second place at the national maths competition. The highlight of his school days is versatility and now his attention is directed at professional fields. Energetic systems, especially the development and implementation of new technology in the area of renewable energy resources and sustainable development are the things that he is most interested in and what he wants to do in the future. He sees this as a direction in which humanity will tend to follow and what should be researched more in Serbia. He plays sports occasionally and he participates in local community actions. Besides that, Rastko is interested in psychology and philosophy in his free time. |
Bogdan Đurđević was born in Belgrade, Serbia. He started playing drums at the age of 12 while attending "Master Blaster", the school for rock and pop music. A year later, he became a member of the school band, with which he had his first performing experiences. In 2012, he also enrolled in the Percussion Department in the class of professor Miona Backović Topalov at the music school "Josip Slavenski". After that, in 2015, he enrolled in the High School "Stanković", Jazz Department – Drums in the class of Professor Dušan Ivanišević. During his high school time, Bogdan had the opportunity to perform with famous names of the Serbian music scene. From March 2017 to September 2018, he played with the famous band from Belgrade called "Zemlja Gruva". He is also playing in the permanent line-up of “Bend Lene Kovačević” since 2017. He has performed with Vasil Hadžimanov, Daniel Nösig, Uli Langthaler, Dušan Jevtović, Schime Trio, Manivi, Nele Karajlić and many others. In July 2018, Bogdan participated in the summer music camp in Perugia (Italy), which is organized by the "Berklee College of Music", where he won a 60% scholarship in the amount of 25,000 dollars. In 2019 he passed the entrance exam at the Music Academy in Vienna and decided to continue his education there. Bogdan currently lives and studies in Vienna, Austria and continues to build his music career there. |
Jana Počuča is a third-year student of Molecular Biology and Physiology at the Faculty of Biology, University of Belgrade, previously graduating from the First Grammar School of Belgrade. Since the first year of high school, she has participated in a biology seminar at the Petnica Science Center. That gave her an opportunity to work on four independent research projects. Among them, the most prominent one is "Antifungal Activity of Neem (Azadirachta indica) Leaf Extract and Oil Against Wood Decay Fungi Heterobasidion annosum", which was presented at three international conferences and has won five prizes. Now, as a student, she is a teaching assistant at a biology course and the course of experimental biology and chemistry at Petnica Science Center. She is also a part of the student club for molecular biology, where she works on the organization of workshops for students. Apart from several projects and workshops she took part in at her faculty, last summer she was a part of the Amgen Scholars program at Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm. For two months she had been working on a project in the area of immunology in tuberculosis which she presented at the Amgen Students European Symposium at Cambridge and won the best poster award. After her Bachelor’s studies, she plans to continue her education abroad. Areas of her professional interest are microbiology, molecular biotechnology, and gene expression regulation. |
Maja Živanović is a fourth-year student of Pharmaceutical Engineering at the Faculty of Technology in Novi Sad. Throughout primary school, she has excelled in various subjects, including history, biology, chemistry, and mathematics - earning numerous awards in those fields and national competitions. As a Student of the Generation, she was selected to participate in the ,,Stopama naših predaka" project organized by “Svetosavsko zvonce” and was recognized by the Serbian Chemical Society for her performance in chemistry competitions. During her secondary education at the Branko Radičević High School in Stara Pazova, Maja was an active member of the Student parliament for three years, serving as the president in her final year. She also actively participated in various extracurricular activities, including promoting education in her school, promoting the ,,Stopama naših predaka" project, and taking part in the openings of local art exhibitions. Furthermore, she was a participant at a winter chemistry seminar at the Petnica Science center in 2018. She completed high school with the highest honor, receiving the prestigious Vuk Stefanović Karadžić's diploma. In the competition “Evropski dnevnik’’ she won first place and an educational trip to Vienna with journalists from Serbia as part of the ,,Medijske posete Evropskoj uniji" project. As a great lover of art, Maja has completed the Elementary Music School "Teodor Toša Andrejević" in Ruma, where she studied piano. She has been an active member of the Folklore ensemble Dukat for 15 years. In the next period, as part of her thesis, she will be conducting experimental work on the project ,,Novel extracts and bioactive compounds from under-utilized resources for high-value applications" which is funded by the Science fund of the Republic of Serbia. |
