SCHOLARSHIPS FOR THE BEST CANDIDATES AT THE ADMISSION EXAMS FOR TEACHING PROFESSIONS
The Studenica Foundation has sent letters to all faculties in Serbia that educate young generations about teaching professions for the next academic year 2023/24. to put a special emphasis on scholarships for students of these faculties, in order to encourage future students to opt for these noble professions.
The letter states that the Studenica Foundation, which has been dedicated to the affirmation of knowledge, learning, and improvement for thirty years, wants to provide its concrete contribution to the effort to restore the reputation of the teaching profession.
With the intention of motivating young people to opt for this honorable profession, this year a decision was made to award one scholarship to the best-ranked candidates in the entrance exam at the pedagogical faculties in Serbia with Kosovo and Metohija, as well as at the departments of Serbian language and mathematics (in which it is possible to choose that major when enrolling) of the respective faculties throughout Serbia since these are subjects that are compulsory in all primary and secondary schools.
Of the 40 scholarships that the Studenica Foundation awards annually, 10 to 15 scholarships will be awarded this year for teaching professions, of which at least 10 are for freshmen.
The first five on the ranking list in the entrance exam will be able to compete in the regular competition of the Studenica Foundation, which will be announced at the beginning of September 2023.
One student each - a freshman from the mentioned faculties, who fulfills the criteria stated in the competition, is entitled to a scholarship for the academic year 2023/24. a year.
All other scholarships, according to the current tradition of the Studenica Foundation, will be awarded to students from different faculties in Serbia and the region.
With this decision, the Studenica Foundation remains consistent with its strategy of continuous long-term scholarship for the best students in Serbia who show a strong concern for their community as well as the need for financial assistance.
Also, the Foundation wishes to encourage individuals, institutions, organizations, and associations, that everyone in their domain, without delay and with concrete actions, contribute as much as possible to restore the deserved status and dignity to the teaching profession and to provide quality education to future generations. and education as a condition for the survival of society as a whole.
