Djordje Bastajic is a fourth year student of basic academic studies at the Department of Phytomedicine, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Belgrade. He achieved enviable academic successes, and was declared as the best second-year student at the Faculty of Agriculture as the winner of the Nikola Spasić Endowment Award. He won two medals for his faculty in a rowing competitions. |
Jelena Čolović is a student at the Faculty of Political Sciences in Belgrade, majoring in Journalism and Communication. In high school, she started writing for portals that deal with culture, education, science and art. She collaborates with the Mingle website which was founded by the Belgrade Open School. She is a journalist for the student podcast "Listening Room 6". She volunteered at the online edition of Danas. She collaborated with the Ana and Vlade Divac Foundation on the project "Academic Village". She was part of the organizing team at the youth seminar "Build yourself" (Kombank Hall, 2019). She is a member of the student organization European Student Forum. She graduated from elementary school as the best student in her graduating class and from high school as the best student in Economics class. She is a fan of theatre and poetry. She would like to be a journalist specializing in culture and arts or a university professor. Last year, she became a teaching associate at the Faculty of Political Sciences on subject Media Ethics. |
Katarina Klisura is a first-year student at the Faculty of Law, University of Novi Sad. She is majoring in law, security and internal affairs. Besides school, she is attending a web design course at the IT Academy. She finished elementary school and high school in Čajniče, in the Republic of Srpska, from where she won the title of student of the generation on both occasions. During her previous schooling, she participated in many competitions, especially those in the Serbian language. In her free time, she is semi-professional in photography, and her photo report was in the finals of the photo competition "My Cultural Treasure" organized by the European Union in Bosnia and Herzegovina. She is also involved in book review, hiking and volleyball, which she has been training since she was 10 years old. She has completed a course for a volleyball referee, and is a participant in seminars and workshops in the field of digital marketing, youth activism and cyber security. She is fluent in English and speaks Russian. |
Teodora Šiklošić graduated from Zrenjanin Grammar School as a "Student of the generation" and is a second-year student of English and German language at the Faculty of Philosophy in Novi Sad. At the same time, she attended and completed an IT Management course at the IT Academy. During her schooling Zrenjanin Grammar School, she participated in many projects and public classes, some of the topics were: the fight against human trafficking in cooperation with the „Astra“ organization, remembrance of Holocaust victims, anti-fascism, Karl Marx, feminism, Serbian female writers in the early 20th century. She participated in the international project of culture and art "Euriade" in the Netherlands. She had also won many awards with the ecology and journalism club, as a member of the editorial board of the school magazine "Put", where she also published texts. Now, she is writing for the journal of students of German studies "Sprache, Literatur, Kultur". She also wrote several articles that were published in the newspapers "Zrenjanin", "Danas" and "Večernje novosti". She speaks English, German, French and Russian and has certificates in English and French. She also writes essays and publishes poetry in collections and anthologies. Behind her are district, national and international competitions: first place in literature, second place in sociology, second place in the international competition "Ahimsa: Tagore and Gandhi ”, international essay writing competition for high school students. In cooperation with the Indian Embassy and the "Tagore Center", she participated in the publication of a book of essays on Ahimsa, Tagore and Gandhi. She wrote a research paper on the topic "Youth and the sphere of work - The problem of unemployment and factors influencing the orientation of young people towards occupations and professions", which won second place in the national competition in sociology. She also completed a course in journalism and marketing, as well as another course in journalism in the project "What's your problem", which deals with human rights, with the organization "Asocijacija Kulturanova". She is a volunteer for the Divac Foundation and the Studenica Foundation, of which she was a scholarship holder, and helps the charity organization "Nurdor" ", a charity for children with cancer disease. She was also the recipient of a scholarship from the city of Zrenjanin and the "Euro for Knowledge" foundation. She also attends filmmaking training in collaboration with the “Zrenjaninski socijalni forum” and the “Rekonstrukcija Ženski fond”, and has worked on several films in collaboration with the Digital Eye Society and Haver. She is currently writing another project called "Special Focus" in cooperation with the "Zrenjaninski aocijalni forum" and the “Rekonstrukcija Ženski fond”, which is about translating professional material related to human rights, which have not yet been translated into English or German. For three years she has been a member of the Singing Society "Prepodobni Rafalio Banatski" from Zrenjanin, which has won numerous awards. She currently volunteers for "Zrenjaninski socijalni forum", "PAOR", where she has a significant function, "Kulturportal Banat", "Erasmus Student Network Novi Sad" and "Student Union of the Faculty of Economics in Belgrade". She is also a member of the Student Union of Students of the Faculty of Philosophy, with which she organizes numerous actions. She will soon become one of the two Event Coordinators within the "Erasmus Student Network". He is interested in literature, project writing, human rights, history of arts, fine arts and choral singing, learning foreign languages, translating and poetry writing, as well as journalism and marketing and IT Management and computer science. |
Aleksandar Milenković is a third year medical student of Medical faculty University of Priština with temporary seat in Kosovska Mitrovica. He attended the medical high school in Kosovska Mitrovica. Milan Đorđević is a Master’s student in Genomics at the Faculty of Biology, University of Belgrade. From the very beginning of his undergraduate studies he was interested in bioinformatics, the field he managed to explore during the internship at the Laboratory for Plant Molecular Biology of the Institute of Molecular Genetics and Genetic Engineering. He further continues specialization in the Laboratory for Bioinformatics and Computational Chemistry of the Vinča Institute of Nuclear Sciences, where he was a participant in the international research project concerning functional annotation of novel genes, conducted in collaboration with Temple University in Philadelphia. During the last year, his interests shifted towards the field of DNA nanotechnology which he got the opportunity to explore this summer as he had received a prestigious scholarship from the Amgen Scholars Programme at the University of Cambridge. Lately, he has continued specialization in the field of DNA nanotechnology at the University of Rome Tor Vergata, where he is currently staying. He is enthusiastic about applied research and entrepreneurship for which received awards for the best innovative projects vouch for. As an organizational team leader in the student organization “AIESEC”, he organized the “Career Days” job fair. During his vice presidency at “Center for student scientific research”, the Center organized numerous events advocating extracurricular education and science popularization as well as Programs through which students got the opportunity to complete internships at institutes and companies all over the country. |
Katarina Milic is from Zvecan and she is a student of biology at the Faculty of Science at the University of Pristina with temporary headquarters in Kosovka Mitrovica. So far she has attended various workshops on media literacy Some of them are : School of Journalism organized by the OSCE Mission in Kosovo, member of the training for investigative journalism, as well as the Ponder of the media literacy program organized by the NGO "Domovik" from northern Mitrovica, with the support of UNICEF. She has completed training for the U-report platform managed by UNICEF. She wrote articles and news for "Crno Beli Svet", "Leader online", "Nova Perspektiva", and is currently an intern on the radio "Kontakt Plus". At the end of 2020, at the annual conference of the "Domovik" organization, she received the Leader of the Year award. Since she is a biology student, in the future she plans to dedicate herself to microbiology. Her goal is to enroll in a master's degree in microbiology and become a microbiologist after completing her basic academic studies. She likes to travel, to meet new people and their cultures and thus to gain some new experiences. She belives that there is power in education and that no matter how bitter the roots of education are, the fruits are certainly sweet. |

Luka Radičević is a final year bachelor's degree student of International Relations at the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Ljubljana. After graduating from the English bilingual class in grammar school in Niš, Serbia, this 23-year-old went to study abroad in pursuit of his childhood dreams. At the faculty, he occasionally assists with research work and portrays his love for science through the role of a demonstrator at the science center "House of Experiments" in Ljubljana. He wrote and adapted a mini-linguistic experiment based on the automatic reading hypothesis for the science center, while he is currently working on a scientific play "Language-ology" and opening a branch of the science center in his hometown - all with the goal of bringing (social) science(s) closer to people and popularizing it in general. Luka is the author of ten published scientific papers and two book chapters, while he is currently a part of a few more research projects in the field he is studying, as well as an editorial board member of the scientific journal of students of social sciences, humanities and arts - "Politeuma". One of the interdisciplinary papers of his research team was awarded at a students' scientific conference. Luka's scientific achievements did not go unnoticed, as he was selected as a speaker at the 7th annual Young Scientists Forum in Serbia. He fell in love with research work as a long-term linguistics student at Petnica Science Center, where he published his first two papers and helped elementary school students as a junior research associate. At the same time, he was a student-coordinator of the Debate Club of his grammar school, on behalf of which he participated in several international competitions. He continued improving and using the skills acquired there in selecting and training speakers within TEDxLjubljana. Luka still hasn't stopped justifying the award for the activist of the generation he received from grammar school "Svetozar Markovic" in Niš. He deserved the award by being engaged in several sections and clubs, both within the school and outside of it. Luka has been chosen as one of the mentors within the national program "When I grow up, I will be..." in Serbia for the second year in a row. In addition, he is the founder and president of the Group of Friendship and Cooperation with the Republic of Serbia within the student organization for international relations called "Globallis" at his faculty also for the second consecutive year. In his work, he tries to strengthen the connection between Serbia and its citizens abroad, which is one of the reasons he joined the Diaspora group as last year's fellow of the Studenica Foundation. In addition to several international projects in which he has participated, Luka points out the project of the National Youth Council of Serbia called "Youth Dialogue with the Primer Minister 2.0". |

Nevena Mušatović finished primary and secondary school in her native city Zaječar, and today she is a third-year student at the Faculty of Philology in Belgrade. As a child, she attended acting classes and was the author and host of her own show on local television – Nevenin kutak, in which she researched topics of interest to young people, related to culture and art. She points out that she has always loved working with young people, and in addition to formal, she considers informal education very important, so she attended numerous seminars and now she is a peer educator in the field of prevention of HIV and sexually transmitted diseases. In the period from 2017 to 2019, she was the coordinator of the Mladi su zakon project organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports for the eastern Serbia, and she spent the summer of 2019 in Madrid on cultural exchange, which helped her to better understand young people outside her country. The following year she becomes the youth delegate of Serbia in the United Nations for 2020/21, which she considers hers greatest success in social engagement so far. She is a great lover of Hispanic culture and literature, she has twice won national awards in the Spanish language competition, however, she plans to continue her education in the field of diplomacy. |
Milica Starinac is a fourth-year student at the Faculty of Political Sciences, University of Belgrade, majoring in international studies. She spent two semesters at Charles University in Prague, as an Erasmus+ exchange student. Outside the faculty, Milica is very active in non-governmental organizations — in the first year, she volunteered in the European Movement in Serbia, and she is currently doing an internship at the Belgrade Center for Security Policy. Through these organizations, she had the opportunity to volunteer at the Belgrade Security Forum. During high school, she joined the European Youth Parliament, the youth organization that gave her the opportunity to participate in a number of conferences in the country and abroad, as well as to be part of the organizing team of the "Dialogue, Trust, Security” international forum, which was organized in cooperation with the OSCE. Her interests include international relations, peace studies, security, sociology and political theory. One of her hobbies is writing, and so far her texts have been published by Vice, as well as in the magazines Lice Ulice and Belgrade Less Ordinary. She is fluent in English, speaks some German and is trying to learn Spanish. |
Nevena Nedeljković is a student at the Faculty of Law of the University of Belgrade at the Department of international law. Nevena completed primary education at Vladislav Ribnikar primary school and graduated from the Third High School of Belgrade – bilingual (French – Serbian) form. For her educational accomplishments, both in primary and in secondary school, Nevena was awarded Vukova Diploma that is a major recognition given to top grade students. During her secondary schooling Nevena was a member of the social network team of the Youth Forum of the European Movement in Serbia, and she was active with them in giving a series of European classes to young people all over Serbia. In addition, as a member the Organization of Creative Grouping – OOCG Nevena took part in the international youth exchange programmes dedicated to the topic of human rights, organized in Switzerland and Serbia. She is a recognized youth leader officially certified by the National association of youth work practitioners (NAPOR, Serbian). During her law studies Nevena is recognized for her participation in expert groups and her written seminar papers in the domain in Roman law, Constitutional law and Criminal law. At the end of each study year Nevena won praises given to the best students from the Faculty of Law. Apart from the regular engagements at the faculty, Nevena is an active member of the sector for trial proceedings simulation of the European Law Students' Association – ELSA, Belgrade; there she had the opportunity to take part in debates, courses and competitions in simulating criminal procedures. In her free time Nevena is active as a volunteer in various events, among which it is worth mentioning Belgrade Security Forum (BSF), BEUM (Belgrade Model European Union), BIMUN (Belgrade International Model UN). Nevena has been going in for folk dancing since she was five years old. Nevena also speaks English and French. |
Aleksa Mitrovski is a student majoring in Informational Technologies in Mechanical Engineering at the Mechanical Faculty in Belgrade. He is in his second year of university; as the best student in his class, he held numerous group preparations for various subjects; in addition to this, he was one of the founders of a student IT association called System. Previously, he was enrolled in the Aviation Academy in Belgrade, which he finished with perfect grades in all subjects. As one of the best students in his class, he had the opportunity to spend two weeks in France, Cerny at a prestigious Academy called Alexandar Denis: he acquired valuable work experience and a certificate that allows him to work on aircraft. During his time in high school, he participated in the political life of his school: he was elected president of his class, and he got the opportunity to represent his class in the Student Parliament. As a member of said parliament, he promoted programs aimed at helping students with disabilities. As for his extracurricular activities, he enjoys volunteering: two years ago he spent two weeks in Italy, where he had the task of taking care of abandoned villages and the surrounding nature, and this year in Deliblato. Moreover, he has been invested in sports ever since he was a kid; he has numerous medals from different sports, such as hockey, swimming, sport-shooting, and taekwondo, in which he holds a black belt. He enjoys playing the guitar, dancing (salsa, bachata, tango), and learning languages. He believes that the key to solving all of the world’s problems lays in education and its availability. |
Miona Dinić is a first-year master's student in the English and Italian Language and Literature (double degree programme) at the Faculty of Arts in Ljubljana (Slovenia). After finishing two years of high school in the philological department at Gimnazija in Kruševac (Serbia), she received a scholarship from the Slovenian government and successfully completed the International Baccalaureate programme at II. gimnazija Maribor. During her studies, she participated in numerous international projects. On the projects In between and Venues of victims, she dealt with the history of the Balkans and researched the development of Rijeka (Croatia) as a multicultural city. As a researcher, she participated in the project Life with Dyslexia organized by the Women Economic Forum, aiming to raise awareness about people with dyslexia. She volunteered as a translator for TEDx Ljubljana where she translated from Slovenian into English. She is part of the theatre student group Maschere nude at the Italian language department in Ljubljana, whose short and socially engaged film Pausa won an award at the Festival Svobodne video produkcije (Free Film Production Festival) in Slovenia, participated in the Kino Otok Festival and received special recognition from the student council of the Faculty of Arts in Ljubljana. Miona is currently the editor of the English student magazine Englist and participates in activities organized by Amnesty Slovenia and is thus actively involved in human right activism. She teaches English at a private school in Ljubljana. She speaks English, Italian, Slovenian, and has intermediate knowledge of the Spanish language. In the future, she would like to obtain PhD in Modern literature, work as a journalist and write literary criticism. |
Mladen Hadži Makunčević is currently a sixth-year student at the Medical Faculty of the Military Medical Academy of the University of Defense in Belgrade. Last year, he participated in the Dementia Summer School, which dealt with the introduction of the pathophysiological mechanisms of dementia, as well as the approach and treatment of these patients in the Balkans. In October 2019, he participated in the 141st Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union in Belgrade as a volunteer. He is currently engaged in research work in the field of neurology, which concerns the impact of the pandemic on various symptoms of dementias. This year, he is the winner of the so-called transitional flag, which is solemnly awarded to the best cadet of the final year. In a few years, he sees himself as a neurology specialist, advancing in both medicine and military service. As part of his boarding life at the Military Medical Academy, in his free time he helps his older colleagues at the MMA emergency center. He also uses his free time to play football as part of the Belgrade Amateur Football League. |
Kristina Nikolić is a freshman at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Niš, majoring in Engineering Management. She finished primary school as the student of the generation, and high school as the Bestactivist. She has been actively participating in projects, events and panels since primary school. As one of the founders of an informal group - Autodidact Club, she created the first educational podcast for young people - Autodidact educational podcast in 2019 and implemented 2 courses where high school students from Niš had the opportunity to learn about the importance of non-formal education and how to get involved in it. As a representative of the Media Research Center, she participated in a prestigious conference in Kyiv, organized by Internews Ukraine. During the Brave New Media Forum in 2018, she won the award for the best TV host, so in 2019 she got the opportunity to be the host of the Brave New Media Forum, organized by the Deutsche Welle Academy. She was also one of the keynote speakers at the TedEd conference organized by the American Corner Niš, the final conference of the Young Balkan Leaders project at the Academy of Sciences in Sofia and the final conference of the international project Weben in Belgrade. As a representative of the Municipality of Surčin from Belgrade, she participated in the Erasmus + project Young Balkan Leaders organized by the Institute for Politics from Bulgaria. Since 2017, she has been actively attending Erasmus + youth exchanges and training courses. She is a member of the project-development team in the Young leaders network and the organization Bestseller from Belgrade. She speaks English and German fluently. She loves to travel, write, research and read. Her life motto is: Time waits for no one. |
Jelena Jevtic studies International Relations at the Faculty of Political Sciences University in Belgrade. She finished Acting school within Sabac’s Theater, where she then actively practiced acting for eight years. At the beginning of Jelena's studies, she was elected as the Representative of Serbia at the World Festival of Youth and Students in Sochi, and then at the International Youth Conference in Moscow. Upon her return from Russian Federation, she did an internship in the European Movement in Serbia. She participated in the organization of the Belgrade Security Forum, two years in a row, as a volunteer in the Participants Team and in the Protocol Team. She coordinated with volunteers at the International Civil Society Week in Belgrade. In addition, she participated in the regional dialogue organized by the United Nations agencies within the platform - Dialogue for the Future, held in Sarajevo. She actively participated in the simulations of the work of the United Nations bodies, and then performed the function of a member of the organizational team of the Belgrade International Model of the United Nations within the United Nations Association of Serbia. Jelena is currently on a student exchange program and training at Justus Liebig University in Germany. She speaks English and learns German, and in her spare time likes to travel and go to the theater. |
Jovan Mitić is a senior year undergraduate student at Faculty of physics at Belgrade University. Ever since he was a little boy, his personality was characterized by tendency towards science and understanding of nature and society and towards arts as well, especially music. During his elementary, middle, and high school education, he has won over 40 awards in various scientific contests in diverse set of disciplines which won him a title of the best student in middle and high school as well. His high school period was characterized by engagement in Regional center for talented youth Belgrade 2 activities where he becomes an author of several scientific papers that would win medals in many worldwide competitions and Olympiads, but he is also involved in organization of similar events and mentorship over younger colleagues as well. Jovan’s most remarkable achievements are the gold medal at International conference of young scientists in Turkey 2015. with paper in application of physical chemistry on the environmental protection, then the gold medal in Romania 2016. at the same competition, this time with project in life science and International geography Olympiad bronze medal in Poland 2014. Willing to “learn the most fundamental of all sciences”, Jovan starts his academic education in Theoretical and experimental physics at Faculty of physics in Belgrade where he becomes a vice dean student and during his two mandates manages to install many reforms regarding educational quality of his faculty. He also continues to attend various conferences and summer schools. Beside all the responsibilities, Jovan works as a music producer in his free time and plays as a frontman and the lead guitarist in his amateur band with his friends. |
Sara Simović graduated from the elementary school "Moma Stanojlović" and the lower music school "Miloje Milojević" - guitar department. She enrolled in the First High School in Kragujevac and graduated as a holder of Vuk's diploma. From the age of seven, she went to the Drama Studio of the Youth Center in Kragujevac, where she spent the next twelve years. She enrolled in acting studies in Novi Sad, in the class of Professor Boris Liješević, in 2017. As an active member of the "Promena" theater, she played in the plays "Prijemni ispit" and "Jednocinke" directed by Professor Boris Liješević. During her studies, she played in the musical "Hair" of the Youth Theater (2019), directed by Peter Telihej, and the play "The Great Depression" by the Serbian National Theater (2020), directed by Marko Celebic. She played the role of Diana in the fifth season of the series "Killers of my father" (2021, directed by Masha Neskovic). She played in the play "Man, you are young" by the Contemporary Theater in Kragujevac (2019). Played in student films: "Foreign Body" (directed by Dušan Zorić); "Drive me to the sea" (Tamara Todorović's graduation film) and in the film "Roses" (2018, directed by Tamara Todorović), where she won the award for best actress at the festival at the "Film Front" in Novi Sad. In 2021, the Academy of Arts and the Little Prince Foundation awarded her the Little Prince Award for her achievements in the field of dramatic arts. Completed the first year of Transactional Analysis (TA 101), training for a psychotherapist. She graduated in acting with the role of Helena in the play "Celebration" directed by Boris Liješević. She enrolled in a master's degree in acting in 2021 at the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad. |

Pavle Vučković is a second-year student at the Faculty of Economics in Niš, majoring in International Management. He is a member of the European Youth Parliament where he participated in numerous sessions in various positions (vice-president, chairperson of the committee, organizer, journalist, delegate) at sessions in Serbia and abroad. Recently, he has been on the executive board of the parliament itself in the position of regional coordinator for the Niš region. Another, more recent, membership that he nurtures is membership in AIESEC in the department of business development and professional interships. In this field, he is engaged in regular market research, arranging meetings with potential partner companies and attending them. During his first year of studies, he attended numerous conferences and participated in humanitarian actions as a member of the Student Association Nova at the faculty. He is currently working on an entrepreneurship project with students at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. In the summer of 2020, he received Cambridge Assessment English - Certificate in Advanced English with proficiency at the C2 level. During high school, he attended the bilingual German class, where he obtained a language diploma for the C1 level of German and actively participated in all school activities and contributed to its general picture. He also participated in the National Geographic Olympiad, where he won third place. During the year, he regularly volunteered at various festivals and events. |
Pavle Momirović is a third year student at the Faculty of Electronic Engineering in Niš, majoring in Computer Science and Informatics. Excellent academic success is not the only thing he can be proud of, because in addition to his obligations at the faculty, he dedicates himself to a large number of extracurricular activities, such as participating in various contests and competitions, but also organizing large programming conferences and competitions within the Student Innovation Center of Electronics Faculty. However, he is most proud of opening his own non-governmental organization and running it for almost 3 years. Namely, back in 2019, he realized that young people needed help in choosing a faculty and career and started the project "Pick and Choose", which soon after received the first donations and sponsorships and grew into a serious organization. Pavle proudly stands behind several conferences and workshops, but also several large and long-lasting projects of this organization, among which is the show "Sa druge strane fakulteta" (translates to: "On the other side of the faculty"), which can still be found on their youtube channel. In addition to programming, he has two other passions: business and philanthropy, so he is planning to, one day, gather all his knowledge and experience together and become an entrepreneur, and he would like to give an example of positive practice to people from his environment through his company. |
Filip Markovic, born in Prizren, is a master's student at the Faculty of Engineering Science in Kosovska Mitrovica-University of Pristina with temporary headquarters in Kosovska Mitrovica, Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering-Computer Science and Informatics. During his first year, within the DBBT project, Filip actively participated in the preparation of the documentary, focused on showing everyday student life, within the FTN student television. After the second year of his studies he applied for a scholarship for extremely talented students, awarded by the Ministry of Education, science and technological development and after successfully passing the required tests, he was granted the scholarship. At the Vidovdan ceremony in 2021, on the occasion celebrating the Day of University of Pristina with temporary headquarters in Kosovska Mitrovica he was awarded with title of The most distinguished student of the Faculty of Technical Sciences. He is the author and co - author of 12 published scientific and professional papers in domestic and international journals and conferences, one of which category M21. Filip is also skilled in several programming languages. As part of the SMARTEL MONTH project In 2021, he participated in a conference whose topic was the advantages and disadvantages of online learning. He also finished elementary music school, he is both a piano and recreational guitar playes. Filip is a member of the Church Choir "Branislav Nusic" in Kosovska Mitrovica, with whom he participated in numerous ceremonies in the Balkans. In his free time, he plays chess and participates in quizzes at the Aquarius Gallery, which is a private cultural center located in Kosovska Mitrovica. |
Vladan Grgur is a first- year master's student at the Faculty of Engineering, majoring in Electrical and Computer Engineering - Computer Science and Automation. He moved to Novi Sad from Republika Srpska, where he has proven to be a versatile and excellent student since elementary school, which he confirmed as the best student in his generation. He also earned that recognition in high school. He is an active participant in the student union of the Faculty of Technical Sciences, where he organizes student forums and conferences, as well as sporting events such as the Summer Football League. He participated in cleaning the riverbeds of the Musnica River, as well as organizing actions for the decoration and cleaning of his hometown. He is interested in physics and the natural sciences but also history, literature, politics and diplomacy. He is fluent in several programming languages, and plans to work in programming. He speaks English and Russian. His main hobby is sports, and he has a brown belt in karate. He is a voluntary blood donor. |
Ilija Gavrilović holds a bachelor's degree in International Affairs and he is a master's degree student in International Politics at the Faculty of Political Science, University of Belgrade. He finished elementary school and high school in Belgrade. He has participated in numerous programs, projects and workshops related to reconciliation, dealing with the past, human rights, European integration, democracy, cooperation and connecting young people in the Western Balkans. Of the programs in which he participated, he especially singled out the participation in the Winter School "Sustainability of Political Systems in Eurasia", organized by the prestigious Lomonosov Moscow State University from Russian Federation, as well as participation in the Focus Balkan Online program, a simulation of the accession of the Western Balkan countries to the EU, in which he was the head of the Montenegrin delegation. In addition, he is especially proud of having the opportunity to participate in the Project of Political Education and Development of Youth Relations between Serbia and Croatia, within which he resided at the Faculty of Political Science, University of Zagreb. In 2020, he received an award from the Municipality of Voždovac as one of the best students in that municipality and during 2021 he participated in the Regional School "European Integration and the Application of the European Value System in the Western Balkans" in Budva, Montenegro. |

Mia Brzaković is a student at Biomedical Engineering at Trinity College Dublin, therefore living both in Belgrade and Dublin, for half of the year respectfully. She successfully finished two years at both Universities, with many awards such as Trinity Honours Awards, Trinity Employability award and was chosen for top International Student of the Year award and Student Engineer of the Year. Mia received the "Vukova diploma" both in primary and in high school for a perfect 5.00 overall grade. She was an award winner in several competitions in Serbian language and literature, Mathematics and Physics. Since high school, she was involved in extracurricular activities. She was active in the European Youth Parliament, chairing, organising, and presiding sessions all around Europe. She was also chosen as the best delegate of the UNEA committee 2018 and vice presided Human Rights Council at the BIMUN session the following year. At Trinity College Dublin, she is part of many societies, one of which is the Society for International Affairs where she organised the annual Ambassador ball and presided over regular MUN sessions in her college. Also, she has been a member of the Trinity Entrepreneurial Society since 2019 and is running her own start-up focusing on sustainable, carbon-negative and environmentally friendly materials. She is Engineering School convener at Trinity College Dublin. Additionally, she is a representative for International Relations at the Association of Mechanical Engineering Students at the University of Belgrade, actively communicating with international consulates and embassies in Serbia, and creating new opportunities for students from Serbia to study abroad. Currently, she is the vice president of the Organisation of Serbian Students Abroad, and Founder and Director of the OSSA branch in Ireland. Recently, she became Young European Ambassador for Western Balkans. She did many internships around the world, only a few of which were in Brussels, Hamburg and Dublin. |
Darko Pavlović is a first-year student at the Faculty of Economics in Niš, majoring in company management. He graduated from the Law and Business School in Nis, where he was the president of the School Parliament. He organized a large number of workshops and humanitarian actions with the parliament. Also, he is one of the founders of an informal group "PRLMNT", which aims to become a union of Nis high school parliaments. Darko is also a long-term member of the "Josif Pančić" scout troop, where he performs the function a deputy chief. As a member of the scouts, he was the organizer of various scout, as well as humanitarian actions and camps. Since the beginning of this year, Darko has been a member of the Jedi Movement from Nis, where he performs the function a project coordinator. With the Jedi Movement, he organized a camp for children without parental care "Force follows the brave", as well as a tournament in football, basketball and table tennis, which served to raise the necessary funds for the realization of the camp itself. In addition, Darko is the coordinator of the gaming tournament that will be held a part of the popular culture convention "Jedicon". Darko was also a speaker at the conferences "The young as drivers of change", "Young people know how to do it" and "The role of young leaders in society", all with the aim of motivating young people to develop and understand the importance of youth activism. |
Milica Damnjanović is a fourth year undergraduate psychology student at Faculty of Philosophy, University of Belgrade. She is a member of Laboratory for experimental psychology where she is doing research about human reasoning and decision making. With her studies done in laboratory, alongside her student research papers, she has participated in various scientific conferences and she is also a research associate on multiple psychology projects that are being carried out in Serbia. She is a former long-term attendant and a current associate at psychology seminar at Petnica Science Center, where she participates in seminar realization and also mentors current attendants. She continues to carry out her mentoring potential through coordinating first-year-student research groups at her faculty and she is also mentor to second-year student research groups that study individual differences and construct various psychological instruments. In near future, she plans to start an additional four-year internship for REBT psychotherapist and to further develop her interests in human reasoning through PhD studies. |
Jovana Jović is a freshman at the Faculty of Organizational Sciences, majoring in Management and Organization. She is the founder of the Youth Vibes organization and the former editor-in-chief of the eponymous portal for which high school and university students write throughout the Balkans. It was one of the first portals edited exclusively by high school students. At the Superste competition by Erste Bank she won funding for the "Youth Connect" project. At the international competition SALTO PI, she won first place with her organization for media literacy. She participated as a PR, later as a team leader for three years in a row at one of the largest scientific festivals in the south of Serbia, "Science is not a ghost". She was a journalist on the "Humans of the Balkans" project and a facilitator on the "CodeRobotic" project. For two years in a row, the team is the leader of the volunteer team at the “Brave New Media Forum” conference organized by the Deutsche Welle Academy. She won the award for the best photo report given by the Local Press. She has attended many workshops, seminars and conferences, like the 6th Global ECPD Youth Forum YOUTH POWER FOR THE COMMON FUTURE, Mediamocracy Camp, USAID Project Media Summer School and the Youth meets media conference in Moldova. |
Born in Novi Pazar, Tijana Glišović is a third-year undergraduate student at the Faculty of Law, University of Belgrade. She is the winner of the Saint Sava Commendation of the Faculty of Law, University of Belgrade for the extraordinary success achieved for the 2019/2020 school year. She finished high school in her hometown with exceptional success and great ambitions for progress. She has represented her city at many creative festivals. Her contributions include recitation and writing of sermons, which is mostly reflected in the traditional manifestation "Creativity of the youth of Novi Pazar". In the period from 2016 to 2018, she participated in the annual City Oratory Competition in Novi Pazar, for which she received a commendation for her skills in 2018 as well. As an active member of the Young Ambassadors Association, she participated in various environmental actions to clean the city and its surroundings. Under that topic and the topic of Preventing Deforestation, in 2018, she gave a lecture at the State Faculty of the University of Novi Pazar. Tijana is an active promoter of human values, tolerance and multiculturalism. Within the non-governmental organization of the Helsinki Committee for Human Rights Belgrade, she participated in many seminars and led a debate on the issue of multiculturalism and extremism. Under the auspices of the OSCE Mission to Serbia, she was part of a team for coordination with high schools whose goal was precisely the promotion of tolerance and "Say Stop Discrimination". Under the topic "Tolerance - it's you", she recorded commercials for RTV Novi Pazar. It was very often part of the fundraising actions for children with special needs. She is one of the organizers and guides of the program dedicated to collecting money for the Association of the Blind and Visually Impaired Novi Pazar. She is also a volunteer and a member of the Novi Pazar Youth Office. Volunteer of the Russian House. Teodora Mašković Đeri is a freshman in psychology at the University of Belgrade, Faculty of Philosophy. She has recently become a member of the team for activity and organization of the Association of Psychology Students "Stimulus" at her faculty. She is an active member of the European Youth Parliament, within which she participated in various sessions as a delegate and journalist. She also represented her national committee at a session in Poland through the role of a peer educator where she led a team of young people and helped them devise solutions to the very important social problems facing European countries. She attended a seminar in the social sciences and humanities at the Petnica Science Center and presented her first scientific paper in the field of psychology at the "Step into Science" conference, which she is now preparing for publication. She participated in the AIESEC project "Start your future" where she got the opportunity to meet people from different countries. She was also part of the InnoSchool pilot program for learning about social entrepreneurship. During her primary education, she was awarded several times for her success in Serbian language competitions. She introduced the collection of corks for the organization "Plug for Handicap" in her housing community. She practised classical ballet for ten years and graduated from the lower ballet school "Lujo Davičo" in Belgrade. She is fluent in English and is currently learning German. Her areas of interest include writing essays and papers, engaging in photography and dance, language learning, and participating in various youth organizations and projects. |
Novak Ćojbašić is a master's student at the Faculty of Organizational Sciences, in the module "Business Intelligence". He completed his undergraduate studies at the same faculty as the student with the highest average grade in the generation of about 800 students. In parallel with his studies, he also has a professional internship at company MSG Global Solutions. He is a multiple prizewinner of the "Toplica Uprising" award given by the municipality of Blace to the best students, the "Dositej Obradović" diploma and the prizewinner of the "Scholarship for Gifted Students of the Republic of Serbia". For over three years, he was a member of the "Divac Youth Fund", where he participated together with other members of the fund in the implementation of youth projects in the municipality of Blace. He was also a meber of Municipal Commission for the implementation of the “Local action plan for youth”. As the president of the student parliament in the high school, he realized projects intended to improve the student standard in the school. He volunteered at the Red Cross. He was engaged by the Municipality of Blace as a member of the Youth Council. . He is occupied in beekeeping since he was fifteen, and in addition to his academic obligations, he takes care of about thirty beehives. He speaks English and knows Russian language. After completing his studies in Serbia, he plans to continue his academic improvement abroad. He plans to apply the acquired knowledge to the development of the country, primarily the municipality he comes from. |
Emilija Jovanović is a student of undergraduate studies in molecular biology and physiology at the Faculty of Biology, University of Belgrade. She holds numerous awards, including a silver medal at the International Conference of Young Scientists in Stuttgart, the Dragica Nikolic Foundation Award and the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts Award for success in international competitions and contribution to representing our country in the world. The successes she achieved enabled her to continue her education as a scholarship holder of the Government of the Russian Federation at the Faculty of Biology of the State University in St. Petersburg, and after that at the Faculty of Biology of the University of Belgrade. She is dedicated to science, so far she has had the opportunity to specialize in research at the Vinca Institute of Nuclear Sciences, the Institute of Molecular Genetics and Genetic Engineering, the Center for Nanobiology and Structural Biology in the Czech Republic and the Academic University in St. Petersburg. unique in that it was founded by the winner of the Nobel Prize in Physics in 2000, Jores Ivanovich Alfiorov. She was also one of the selected students to participate in the prestigious research program organized by the Vienna Biocenter, as well as the program of the University of Lausanne. She is engaged in the SENSOGENE project at the Institute of Molecular Genetics and Genetic Engineering, which aims to develop methods for early detection of colorectal cancer. Last year, she was awarded the "Svetislav Milić - to young people from the heart" award in the field of science and education for her work and results so far. |
