Boris Among MBL Camp Organizers Once Again
Boris Stanković, a student at the Faculty of Mathematics, University of Belgrade, was once again one of the organizers of the Maths Beyond Limits (MBL) camp this year.
MBL Camp is the largest international science camp for high school students held in the Balkans. This year’s third edition took place in early April in Konjic.
The camp hosted 45 students, with both participants and lecturers coming from nearly 30 countries around the world – from Malaysia and India, through most European countries, all the way to Brazil. This marked a record number of countries represented at the camp, and the high quality of the program was further confirmed by the record number of nearly 150 applications received this year.
Throughout the camp, students had the opportunity to attend lectures delivered by experts from some of the world’s most prestigious universities, including Cambridge, Oxford, ETH Zürich, King's College London, Imperial College London, EPFL Lausanne, the University of Copenhagen, and Charles University in Prague.
What makes MBL Balkans unique is its ability to open new mathematical horizons for students, focusing on real-world applications of mathematical knowledge in various industries, as well as showcasing the beauty of mathematical research – the queen of sciences.
One of the lecturers this year was also our scholarship recipient, Nikolija Bojković, a student at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Belgrade. Upon Boris’s invitation, Nikolija gladly joined the event and contributed to its success.
We are proud of our scholars who seize every opportunity to collaborate and share knowledge!
