"Queens of Chess" – A Girls' Chess Tournament in Honor of March 8th

The "Queens of Chess" tournament, held symbolically on March 8th at the "Milan Đ. Milićević" Elementary School, once again brought together a large number of young chess enthusiasts. As in previous years, the Studenica Foundation was pleased to be a friend of the event and to support an initiative that promotes chess among girls and fosters their development through this noble game.

At the end of the tournament, all participants were awarded medals for their efforts and participation, while the most successful players were presented with trophies. The medals were awarded to the students—who were grouped by grade level--by our foundation scholars. They participated in this wonderful event and took great pleasure in observing the games, in which the contestants demonstrated knowledge, perseverance, and a competitive spirit.

Since chess is a game that teaches children problem-solving and patience, while also developing the skill of quick thinking, we are delighted that the "Queens of Chess" tournament attracts more young chess players every year and nurtures their love for the game.
