Prof. dr Ilija Savić
Prof. dr. Dr. Ilija Savić is a scientist, professor at the Faculty of Physics and president of the Board of Directors of the Foundation “Prof. Marko V. Jarić, PhD. ” which he has successfully managed for more than 20 years. As a full time professor at the Faculty of Physics he was selected for the subjects: Subatomic Physics and Modern Methods in Physics. Ilija Savic was the Associate Dean for the Faculty of Material and Financial Affairs, the Associate Dean of student affairs and then the Dean of the Faculty of Physics for many years. His special contribution was in the formation of the Faculty of Physics during the transformation of the Faculty of Science into six special faculties, for which the Faculty of Physics expressed special gratitude to him. This faculty also expressed its special gratitude to Prof. Savić for his work, thanks to which in 1993 a computer lab was formed, primarily intended for students of undergraduate studies.
Professor Savic's research work is in the field of Nuclear Physics and Solid State Physics. He has published as many as 82 papers in international journals, as well as a significant number of papers in proceedings of domestic scientific conferences, press releases at international scientific conferences, and papers at domestic symposiums. Professor Savić also published several textbooks for students and one for high school students.
