Filled with joy and pride in your response, we celebrate the success of the first fundraising gala, STUDENICA 23, in Belgrade! All tickets were sold out, and the Aero Club Hall needed to be bigger to accommodate everyone interested in participating! Together, we raised over 2 million dinars (2,192,000 RSD), or more than $20,000, for scholarships for Serbian students, with additional donations expected in the coming days.
We enjoyed an extraordinary program where poet Matija Bećković beautifully recited his verses, and actor Tihomir Stanić spoke "Lament over Belgrade" by Miloš Crnjanski. The performances of sisters Tijana and Ksenija Milošević with pieces by Shostakovich and Vivaldi touched our hearts. After Lena Kovačević and her band's performance, we sang "This is Serbia", and the fantastic atmosphere continued with DJ Filip Bulatović's music.
Alexander Gajšek, one of our most esteemed journalists and presenters, honored with the Patriarch Pavle Charter for his work, guided us through this special evening.
