Djordje attended XVI Symposium on Plant Protection
Djordje Bastajic is a student in the fourth year of bachelor studies at the Department of Phytomedicine, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Belgrade. He achieved significant academic successes, and was named the best student of the Faculty of Agriculture as the winner of the Nikola Spasić Foundation Award.
Djordje's work and commitment was recognized by the Plant Protection Society of Serbia, so he received an invitation to participate in the XVI Symposium on Plant Protection, which was held at the end of November on Zlatibor mountain. He points out that he is very pleased to have had the opportunity to participate together with professors and prominent individuals from Serbia and the region in discussions related to current topics in the field of phytomedicine.
He is a member International Association of Students in Agricultural and Related Sciences (IAAS), and has participated and organisedseveral events such as: Agribusiness Conference “Za korak ispred u agrobiznisu”, "Training new trainers event" and others. He improves the acquired knowledge through various practices in farms, organizing plant production.
Apart from the faculty, Djordje is very dedicated to sports, and he often attends rowing competitions, so he has won several medals. He is also a member of the Russian sports association Sorok Sorokov, and so he wants to spread the idea of a morally and physically healthy life.
He completes his time with charity work at the faculty and in the local community, as well as arranging parks.
