Song  "Take care, God, of the Serbian people" composed by alumni

Our alumni and former president of the alumni organization, Anastasija Kostic, composed a song for the singers of the Temple of Saint Sava.

She composed the music herself and wrote the lyrics. Anastasia completed her studies in music theory at the Faculty of Music in Belgrade, where she also got her masters degree.

We asked her what was her inspiration for composing this song.

"I dedicated the song "Take care, God, of the Serbian people" to my Serbian people, because it bears the scar of injustice and humiliation on the soul, both today and in earlier times. To believe in another person instead of believing in God, unfortunately, often has disastrous consequences. In order to be able to love "the whole world, because everyone is our neighbor", we must first love and accept ourselves. Thanks to the choir  "Singers of the Temple of St. Sava "who with their voices evoked the emotion of this song in the best way."

You can listen to the song here.
