The Gathering of Studenica Foundation Alumni Brought Together Generations of Our Fellows at the Ethnographic Museum

On Monday, June 10, 2025, in the distinctive setting of the Ethnographic Museum in Belgrade, the Gathering of the Studenica Foundation Alumni was held. This celebratory event brought together current scholarship recipients and former beneficiaries of the Foundation’s support, marking decades of continuous encouragement for young talents and the development of a strong community built on knowledge, solidarity, and mutual connection.

The formal part of the event featured two panel discussions – a student panel and an alumni panel.

The panel discussion titled “Fabula docet – The Story Teaches Us” served as a space where Studenica Foundation scholars shared personal stories and reflections on the meaning of success, the importance of mental health, balancing personal and professional growth, the role of competitions in education, and the value of innovation. Instead of focusing on formal titles and achievements, the discussion highlighted values, challenges, and motivation – the inner qualities that shape a person. Through open dialogue, the participants emphasized the importance of connection and authenticity as the foundation for both individual and societal progress.

The panel was moderated by Kristina Nikolić, with participants Ivana Đuričić, Rastko Lazarević, David Srećković, and Aleksandar Milenković. You can view the biographies of our outstanding scholars here.
The panel discussion “The Thread That Connects Us” brought together distinguished alumni of the Studenica Foundation, who shared personal and professional stories about the challenges of maintaining a balance between private and professional life, the power of community, and the importance of lasting connection. Through a dynamic conversation among panelists from various fields – from science and the arts, to law, politics, IT, and entrepreneurship – topics such as priorities, support, flexibility, hobbies, and the role of community in preserving inner balance were explored. The participants emphasized how the Foundation, even during their student days, fostered the holistic development of individuals – not only through academic support but also by encouraging values, personal interests, and connection.

The final part of the panel was dedicated to an open discussion about the future of the alumni network, its potential for mentorship, collaboration, and joint initiatives – with a call for the community to remain active, vibrant, and supportive even after the completion of studies.

The panel was moderated by alumna Sanja Erceg, with participants Valentina Cvetković-Đorđević, Lora Milutinović, Viktor Stamenković, Nenad Lazarević, and Nenad Krzman.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to our dear alumni, scholarship recipients, and friends of the Foundation for their time, thoughtful ideas, and inspiring conversations! The goal of the Studenica Foundation is to strengthen the alumni community so that we can support one another, collaborate, and promote the philanthropic values that the Foundation upholds.
